This coming September, the Pangasinan Maharlika Horizon Lions Club (PMHLC) invites everyone to join us in our next service journey—Project HUGS, an initiative dedicated to supporting the Pediatric Cancer Homestay at Region I Medical Center Annex, Bonuan, Dagupan City.

For children bravely facing cancer and the families journeying with them, a comfortable and welcoming place can make a meaningful difference.

Through Project HUGS, we hope to help provide beds and beddings, tables and chairs, daily supplies, toys, kitchen equipment, and utensils—simple necessities that can bring comfort, dignity, and moments of joy to our little warriors and their families.

💙 Every bed can offer comfort.
💛 Every toy can bring a smile.
💙 Every meal prepared can bring warmth.
💛 Every helping hand can remind a family that they are not alone.

🌧️💙 CARES Caravan: Serving with Love, Rain or Shine! 🦁

Today, August 12, 2026, the Pangasinan Maharlika Horizon Lions Club (PMHLC) brought its CARES Caravan to Cabanaetan Mabini Elementary School, reaching 151 young learners with lunch bags, a feeding program, and vitamin supplements. 🎒🍱💊

The rain may have poured, but it never stopped the dedicated PMHLC Lions from showing up and serving. Because when there are children to care for, service knows no weather. ❤️

Leading today’s meaningful project is Lion Mary Dianne Villamil-Hispano, who is celebrating her birthday this August. 🎂🦁 In the spirit of gratitude and sharing her blessings, she chose to celebrate by giving something special to children who needed it most. What a beautiful way to turn a birthday into a blessing for others! 💕

Our heartfelt thanks to Cabanaetan Mabini Elementary School, headed by School Principal Crisrene M. Nacino, and coordinated by Teacher Miriam T. Garcia, for warmly welcoming the CARES Caravan and helping make this outreach possible.

The CARES Project is PMHLC’s community support initiative dedicated to providing assistance, care, and relief to young learners. Today reminded us once again that sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is simply to show up—with a willing heart and a hand ready to serve.

🦁💙 CARES CARAVAN 2: LIONS REACH COMMUNITIES TO SERVE! 💙🦁

Today, August 8, 2026, the Pangasinan Maharlika Horizon Lions Club brought its spirit of service to Tarece, San Carlos City, Pangasinan through CARES Caravan 2—a meaningful day of compassion, care, and community service.

Led by our dedicated Club Treasurer, Lion Helen Gonos, the project reached more than 100 beneficiaries—children and senior citizens— who received much-needed services including medical check-ups, dental services, haircuts, vitamins and supplements, and other essential care.

Our children were also beneficiaries of the Umbrella of Hope Project, receiving dental and hygiene kits to promote not only healthy smiles but healthier, brighter futures. 🦷🪥❤️

This successful undertaking would not have been possible without the warm support and cooperation of the Tarece Barangay Council, headed by Barangay Captain Gerardo Mercado, together with the Barangay Tanods, BHWs, and barangay officials who worked hand in hand with us to make the day meaningful and successful.

We are also grateful to Pangasinan Achievers Lions Club and Pangasinan Golden Hearts Lions Club and Kiwanis Progressive Pangasinan for joining us and providing valuable support. 🤝💙 Together, we are reminded that when service organizations unite, the reach of compassion becomes greater and the impact becomes stronger.

Today was more than a caravan. It was a reminder that service knows no distance, compassion knows no boundaries, and every community deserves to be reached.

To all Lions Club members,

We encourage every Lion to create a Lion Portal Account and take advantage of the many online resources available, including LEARN, where you can access leadership and service-related courses offered by Lions International.

How to Create Your Lion Portal Account:

1. Ask your Club Secretary to verify that:
* You are listed as an active member in Lion Portal.
* Your email address is correctly entered in your membership record.
* Your email address is unique (not shared with another member).
2. Visit the Lion Portal registration page through the Lions International website:
https://www.lionsclubs.org and select Lion Portal.
3. On the login page, click “Don’t Have an Account?”
4. Enter your:
* First Name
* Last Name
* Email Address (must match the email address in your Lions membership record)
5. Click Sign Up.
6. Check your email for the verification code sent by Lions International.
7. Enter the verification code and click Verify.
8. Create your password (minimum of 8 characters, including at least one letter and one number).
9. Log in and start exploring the Lion Portal, including LEARN, SERVICE, and other member resources.

If you encounter any registration issues, please coordinate first with your Club Secretary to verify your membership information and email address.

Celebrating Five Years of Service, Friendship, and Legacy 🦁💙💛

With hearts full of gratitude, we proudly celebrate the successful conclusion of the 5th Founding Anniversary of the Pangasinan Maharlika Horizon Lions Club—a milestone that reminded us not only of how far we have come, but of the people whose service, friendship, and love have made this journey truly meaningful.

To all our members and officers, thank you for joining us and for continuing to believe in the mission that binds us together. This celebration was made possible because of your commitment, generosity, and shared passion for service.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our Charter President, Dr. Maria Julita De Venecia, and to our beloved Charter Members, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation upon which PMHLC proudly stands today. Five years later, the legacy you began continues to grow, serve, and inspire.

We were especially honored to celebrate this milestone with distinguished Chapter Presidents whose own Lion journey began with PMHLC. What a beautiful testament to our club's legacy—to see Lions who once shared our home now leading and inspiring their own clubs and communities.
