The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) represents the world for the young accountants in the Philippines. JPIA is an organization established to develop its members as responsible, well-rounded individuals. It is likewise instituted to promote, to organize, and to coordinate activities for the welfare of the stud

ents and to nurture them not just a good student in their respective campuses but to their community as well. It also aims to involve the members in all its activities by ensuring their active participation from the planning to the implementation stage. JPIA is a special and highly esteemed organization of the Philippines which is created only and exclusively for the students of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) course in the exclusive public and private colleges and universities of the country which are granted an approval and accreditation from the college and university standards governing authority of the Philippines, the Commission of Higher Education (CHED). It such called a very special organization for the BS Accountancy students because of the highest standards sets to the colleges and universities by the government to offer such course. Students who are admitted to take the course of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy have passed series of tough and thorough screening and examinations in different stages of their level. More often, Accountancy students in the Philippines are considered as the group of bright and genius student for surviving the screenings and tough examinations.

The Lyceum Northwestern University Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (LNU-JPIA) successfully held its General Orientation and Induction Program last Tuesday, July 14, 2026, marking a significant milestone as we officially welcomed our incoming first-year accountancy students into the department.

This program served as a comprehensive introduction to the life and standards of our academic community. We were honored to introduce our esteemed faculty members, who shared invaluable insights and professional guidance to our aspiring accountants. The session provided a detailed overview of school rules, academic policies, and essential university informationโ€”equipping our students with the knowledge necessary to navigate their academic journey with integrity and excellence.

The event featured the formal induction of the newly elected JPIA Officers and the heartfelt pledge of our first-year students. This oath-taking ceremony symbolizes their unwavering commitment not only to the organization but also to the rigorous standards and ethical values of the accountancy profession.

A memorable day filled with gratitude, new beginnings, and leadership as the College of Business Education (CBE) officially held its Turnover Ceremony.

We warmly welcomed Dr. Christina O. Fernandez, CPA as the new Dean of CBE, marking the start of a new chapter for our college. At the same time, we expressed our heartfelt appreciation to our former Dean
Dr. Genoveva Y. Reyes, CPA, MBA,Ph.D, FRI.Acc for her years of dedicated service, inspiring leadership, and unwavering commitment to the CBE department.

The ceremony also honored the outgoing Student Council Governor and council members for their hard work and service. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to our organization advisers, as well as to the former Student Council, JPIA, and BASS officers in recognition of their valuable contributions.

To conclude the program, we proudly introduced the newly elected officers of JPIA, Student Council, and BASS, who are ready to lead, serve, and continue the legacy of excellence.
