In a heartfelt show of unity and service, the Ednas School Dagupan Batch ’93 Alumni Association, Inc., under the leadership of Charter President Maureen A. Lapeña, successfully carried out a timely and meaningful outreach project at Bonuan Boquig Elementary School, Dagupan City, in support of the Brigada Eskwela 2025 program.

The activity was organized in close coordination with Dr. Agape M. Nabua, School Principal, and Judy Ann D. David, Brigada Eskwela Chairman. It was made possible through the efforts of Ms. Marla Grace M. Obe, Administrative Officer of the school, who is also a proud alumna and active member of the Association.

Present during the activity were fellow alumni members Dr. Lady May Ritualo, Annaliza Ticman, Det Bravo, Yoyo Balingit, and Jojo Siapno, who all exemplified the spirit of giving back and volunteerism. Their presence highlighted the collective commitment of the Association to support education and uplift the learning community.

Brigada Eskwela, the Department of Education’s nationwide schools maintenance initiative, is designed to prepare public schools for the upcoming school year through community involvement and volunteer partnerships. It aims to foster civic engagement, shared responsibility, and a strong support system for public education.

The Association’s contribution—which included various educational materials and classroom resources—serves as a vital morale booster for both students and teachers. By lightening the load of classroom readiness, this initiative not only enhances the physical learning environment but also affirms the Association’s belief in the power of education to transform lives.

This meaningful act of giving aligns with the Department of Education’s thrust to create inclusive, safe, and child-friendly learning spaces. Moreover, it reinforces the Association's commitment to continuously support programs that promote learning, resilience, and community development.

The Ednas School Dagupan Batch ’93 Alumni Association, Inc. remains steadfast in its mission to give back, serve others, and contribute to a brighter future for today’s learners.

Ednas School Dagupan Batch 93 Alumni Association, Inc. Donates Handwashing Facility to Gregorio Del Pilar Elementary School

Dagupan City – The Ednas School Dagupan Batch 93 Alumni Association, Inc. turned over a handwashing facility to Gregorio Del Pilar Elementary School in Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City on June 4, 2025.

The simple yet impactful turnover ceremony was attended by members of the alumni association, led by Charter President Maureen A. Lapeña, Secretary Jason G. Estrada, and alumni association members Annaliza M. Ticman and Jojo Z. Siapno. School officials and teachers led by Ms. Mary Ann C. Carrera, School Principal I, were also present to witness the occasion and express their gratitude.

This initiative underscores the alumni association’s commitment to the community, especially in supporting health and wellness programs in public schools. With the return of face-to-face classes and the continuing importance of hygiene in preventing communicable diseases, the installation of a proper handwashing facility is both timely and essential.

"We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference," said Maureen A. Lapeña, Charter President. "This donation is our way of giving back to the community and helping promote good hygiene habits among young learners."

The handwashing station is expected to benefit hundreds of students by providing them with convenient access to clean water and soap—critical tools in reducing the spread of illnesses such as the flu, diarrhea, and other infections common in school settings. It also supports the Department of Education's Wash in Schools (WinS) program, which advocates for safe water, sanitation, and hygiene practices as part of the holistic development of Filipino learners.

The school expressed its heartfelt appreciation for the donation. “This facility will serve as a daily reminder to our pupils of the importance of cleanliness and health,” a school representative noted. “We are truly grateful to the Ednas Batch 93 Alumni for their generosity and concern for the well-being of our students.”

By providing access to this basic but vital infrastructure, the Ednas School Dagupan Batch 93 Alumni Association, Inc. has not only enhanced the learning environment of Gregorio Del Pilar Elementary School but has also sown the seeds of health consciousness, civic responsibility, and community solidarity among its young learners.
