Some prayers take time.

They begin as tears. As waiting. As quiet conversations with God that no one else hears.

But don't lose heart.

What is a prayer today may become a testimony tomorrow. What is a burden today may become a blessing in God's perfect timing.

For no prayer offered in faith is ever wasted.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” - Psalm 37:4

So keep praying. Keep trusting.

And may the things you've been placing in God's hands slowly unfold into blessings that remind you He was listening all along.

“Hangga’t nandiyan ’yung magulang niyo, paramdam niyo sa kanila kung gaano sila kaimportante sa inyo.”

This advice from Vandolph feels different because it came from regret.

He remembered the simple moments with his father, Dolphy.

The times his father would ask for a massage. The times he wanted to eat out. The times he wanted to watch a movie.

Simple things. But sometimes, those simple things are actually love asking for time.

While our parents are still here, we sometimes think there will always be another day.

But time is not always promised. That is why his reminder is so important.

When they eat, join them.
When they talk, listen.
When they need you, be present.

The Bible says, “Honor your father and your mother.” - Exodus 20:12

Sometimes, honor is not just shown through words. It is shown through presence.

Through patience.
Through listening.
Through choosing them.

One day, the small moments we ignored may become the memories we wish we could return to.

Hangga’t nandiyan sila, mahalin natin sila.

I was touched by Gina Alajar’s advice to young people about love, marriage, and serious decisions in life.

She said, “Palaging magdasal at humingi ng gabay sa Panginoon sa bawat desisyong inyong gagawin.”

It was not just a simple reminder to pray. It came from experience.

Gina admitted that if she could go back, she would have chosen not to marry too early.

Not because she regretted her children. But because she realized that marriage needs more than love.

That is why she reminded young people not to rush.

Huwag magmadali. Life is not a race. Love is beautiful, but feelings are not enough for a lifetime commitment.

Some decisions do not only affect your heart.

They affect your future.
Your peace.
Your family.
Your children.
Your walk with God.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5

Before you say yes, pray. Before you commit, ask God. Before you rush, listen. Before you follow your heart, make sure your heart is guided by the Lord.

Waiting is not rejection. Sometimes, waiting is protection.

The hardest prayer is often the most powerful one.

Not “Give me what I want.” Not “Do it my way.” But, “Lord, Your will be done.”

Those words require trust.

Trust when the answer is yes. Trust when the answer is wait.

“Not my will, but Yours be done.” - Luke 22:42

There is a miracle in surrender.

A miracle of peace when you stop fighting for control.

A miracle of faith when you choose God's plan over your own.

The greatest blessing is not getting your way. It is discovering that God's way was better all along.

“I was trying to become the perfect person for everyone, until I realized I didn’t know who I was anymore.”

Liza Soberano said there was a time when she felt the need to be understood by everyone.

Every post.
Every opinion.
Every explanation.

But when you grow up surrounded by expectations, criticisms, and opinions, sometimes you start adjusting yourself just to be accepted.

Quiet around some people.
Funny around others.
Careful online.

That is the danger of people-pleasing. You can become so focused on being liked, being understood, being acceptable, that you slowly lose yourself.

Sometimes, choosing privacy is healing.

Sometimes, it is choosing your mental health. Choosing silence. Choosing peace. Choosing to know yourself again.

“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?” - Galatians 1:10

You were never created to be understood by everyone. You were called to be whole.

And sometimes, finding yourself again begins when you stop explaining yourself to everyone.

There is something beautiful about people who know where the credit belongs.

“If you see something good in me, it’s Jesus.”

The kindness you notice. The patience that was not there before. The strength to keep going after hard seasons. The ability to forgive. The courage to love.

Those things are not always the result of human effort. Sometimes they are the evidence of God's work in a surrendered heart.

As it says in Galatians 2:20, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”

So if there is anything good in us, let us not be quick to take the glory.

Let us point people to the One who changed us. The One who carried us. The One who never gave up on us.

If you see something good in me, it’s Jesus.

There is something powerful about the testimony of YoungHoon Kim.

A man reported to have one of the highest IQs in the world. A man who has spent years studying intelligence, logic, and knowledge.

Yet after all his learning, he publicly declared, “As the world's highest IQ record holder, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life.”

In a world that often tries to place faith and reason on opposite sides, his words remind us that intelligence and belief are not enemies.

Knowledge can explain many things. But it cannot answer every longing of the human heart.

It can measure facts. But it cannot fully measure love, grace, purpose, or eternity.

After his statement went viral and reached millions of people, he shared another thought, “Christ is my logic.”

What a beautiful confession.

Not that faith replaces thinking. But that faith gives meaning to what we know.

The greatest minds in history have often discovered that the deeper they explore creation, the more they stand in awe of the Creator.

Scripture says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” - Proverbs 9:10

Not the end of wisdom. The beginning.

There comes a point where intelligence alone is not enough. Where success is not enough. Where achievements are not enough.

And we realize that knowing about the world is different from knowing the One who made it.

The world celebrates a high IQ. God looks at the heart.

And perhaps one of the most remarkable things about wisdom is that, the wiser a person becomes, the more humble they are before God.

The greatest truth remains the same, Jesus is not merely someone to be studied. He is Someone to be known.

Lord, thank You for waking me up again.

Another sunrise.
Another breath.
Another opportunity.

For preserving me through the night, and for the gift of a brand-new day, I am grateful.

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” - Psalm 118:24

Thank You, Lord, for one more day to walk with You.

Some prayers change circumstances. Others change the person who is praying.

A prayer may look small in the moment, but it reaches a God who is limitless.

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” - James 5:16

So pray.

Pray when the answer seems impossible. Pray when the burden feels too heavy. Pray when all you have left is faith.

You may not see God moving right away, but never mistake His silence for His absence.

He is listening.
He is working.
He is able.

Some words stay with a child longer than adults realize.

That is what I thought of when Ryzza Mae Dizon said, “Nung nanalo po ako,
nabili ko po yung bahay nila.”

She was only around 5 or 6 years old when she accidentally broke part of a vase while playing.

And the words she heard were painful, “Mas mahal pa ’yan sa buhay mo.”

But instead of letting those words destroy her, Ryzza used them as motivation.

She told herself, “Balang araw magsisipag talaga ako para hindi ako masabihan ng ganon.”

And years later, the child who was once made to feel small had a full-circle moment.

“Nung nanalo po ako, nabili ko po yung bahay nila.”

Not as bragging. But as testimony.

The Bible says, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” - Psalm 118:22

Be careful with the words you say to a child. Some words wound deeply.

But sometimes, God turns the wound into fuel.

And one painful sentence does not get to define someone’s whole life.
