The Advocacy-based Bulletin Board of the CNNHS USAD-GAD is now posted and ready to promote awareness and transparency at Camarines Norte National High School! 📋✨

Students may check out the said bulletin board at the front of the CNNHS Guidance Office. 👀

Information regarding the profile of the CNNHS USAD-GAD Officers, background, announcements, and accomplishments of the organization will be posted and available for viewing. 📌

The bulletin board also features advocacy slides that aims to raise awareness regarding gender equality 🌈, mental health 🧠💙, and diversity in the community.

THE FUTURE IS NOW PLANTED.

A total of 200 mangrove propagules were successfully planted during the Roots of Life initiative.

This initiative have been made possible with the collective efforts of the CNNHS USAD-GAD, CNNHS Science Club, STE Club, student volunteers, and our external partner organizations; MENRO-BBC and OPAg-CN.

Anti-Violence Against Women (VAW) 101 🧡

Gender-related abuse doesn't always begin with bruises and physical injuries. 𝗜𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 — negative comments on how you dress or how you should “behave” based on traditional gender roles.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝘀 "𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹," 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲:
*Insults and Humiliation - embarrass you for them to feel better;
*Threats and Gaslighting - manipulate you into doing or not doing something;
*Physical Harm (grabbing someone forcibly, hitting, slapping, kicking, etc.) - unhealthily vent their anger and violent tendencies towards you; and
*Non-Consensual Sexual Contact - intentional contact/touching without consent

Consent and Boundaries are 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 in every relationship, they protect our well-being. We need to respect and honor them. Saying “no” is your right, changing your mind is 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝, and setting limits is an act of 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞. 💜

When someone dismisses your boundaries or does something without your consent, it is a 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 that should never be ignored. 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐮𝐩, honor your boundaries and remember that you deserve interactions rooted in 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 , 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲, and 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞. ✊

Today, we celebrate the importance of respect and inclusivity through acknowledging other people's pronouns. These are more than just words or parts of speech; they are an essential part of our identities.

🤗 Whether you use she/her, he/him, they/them, etc. as your pronouns, your identity is valid and respected.

🤷‍♂ Not sure about what to do as an advocate this International Pronouns Day? Here are some tips to serve as your guide:

*In a polite and non-awkward manner, ask for someone’s pronouns when you meet them.

*Make an effort to use the correct pronouns in making conversations with others.

*Spread the information about the importance of pronouns, respect for all identities, and inclusivity.

Today, we celebrate, commemorate, and appreciate rural women and their valuable contributions in the health and well-being of their communities. ✨

❕Just like the legendary Filipino tattoo artist, Apo Wang-Od, rural women play a crucial role in conserving and cultivating biodiversity. They are custodians of natural resources and traditional knowledge. Their work is not simply a testament to their skills, but also the cultural heritage of their communities.

🌸Challenges can be even greater for rural indigenous women and girls. They may face:
*higher rates of poverty;
*unequal access to education, health, social services, and employment opportunities; and
*gender inequality.

✊Despite these challenges, rural women are the driving force in ensuring food production, security, and nutrition for communities in both rural and urban areas.

Let's all take time to appreciate and respect these valuable women! 💜
