"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." — Jeremiah 1:5

Today, we celebrate the day Bishop Ronald Anthony P. Timoner, STL said "Yes" to the priesthood. Through his hands, we receive the Sacraments; through his heart, we feel the love of the Father. May the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen you in your apostolic mission!

GRAB YOUR ROSARIES, MAY DEVOTIONS BEGIN! 🌹🙏

The month of May has arrived—a time lovingly dedicated to our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary. It is an invitation for all of us to return to prayer, to slow down, and to draw closer to Jesus through her gentle guidance. As we hold our rosaries, we are reminded that we are never alone—Mary walks with us, listens to us, and brings our intentions to her Son.

May devotions are not just traditions; they are moments of grace. Whether through the Rosary, the Flores de Mayo, or simple quiet prayers, each act of devotion becomes an offering of love. In every “Hail Mary,” we place our hopes, struggles, and gratitude into the hands of a Mother who understands.

This is the perfect time to renew our faith. Let this month be filled with peace, healing, and deeper trust in God’s plan. Even in the middle of our busy days, a few minutes with the Rosary can calm the heart and strengthen the soul.

So grab your rosaries, gather your family, and begin this beautiful journey of prayer. May this month be covered with grace, guided by Mary, and filled with blessings from above. 🌸✨

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHAPLET AND ROSARY

Many Catholics use prayer beads…
But not everyone knows:
A Rosary is not the same as a Chaplet

So what’s the difference?

1. WHAT IS THE ROSARY? (TRADITION)
The Rosary is a specific and structured prayer centered on the life of Christ, prayed through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
It includes:
*The Joyful Mysteries
*The Sorrowful Mysteries
*The Glorious Mysteries
*The Luminous Mysteries
(Source: Tradition)

2. WHAT IS A CHAPLET? (TRADITION)
A chaplet is a general term for devotional prayers prayed using beads. Unlike the Rosary, chaplets are not one single universal format.
Examples include:
*Divine Mercy Chaplet
*Chaplet of St. Michael
*Chaplet of the Precious Blood
(Source: Tradition)

3. STRUCTURE DIFFERENCE
Rosary
* Fixed structure
* Same prayers and pattern
* Always meditative (mysteries)

Chaplet
* Varies depending on devotion
* Different prayers
* Different structure

4. FOCUS OF PRAYER
Rosary
* Focuses on the life of Christ through Mary

Chaplet
* Focuses on a specific devotion
(e.g., Divine Mercy, angels, saints, Passion of Christ)

5. UNIVERSAL VS DEVOTIONAL
Rosary
* Universal and widely promoted by the Church

Chaplet
* Devotional and optional

IN SUMMARY… KNOW WHAT YOU PRAY
*The Rosary is a specific prayer
*A Chaplet is a category of prayers

Today, reflect:
“Do I just pray… or do I understand what I pray?”

“Clarity in prayer leads to depth in faith.”

Be Prayerful. Be Inspired

TODAY'S REMINDER: ITE AD IOSEPH (GO TO ST. JOSEPH)

As we celebrate the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, the Church once again gives us a simple yet powerful call: “Ite ad Ioseph”—Go to Joseph. These words, first spoken in the Book of Genesis when the people were told to seek Joseph, son of Jacob, now carry a deeper meaning for us. They invite us to turn to Saint Joseph as our protector, guide, and intercessor in our journey of faith.

Saint Joseph is a man of quiet strength. Though no words of his are recorded in Scripture, his life speaks clearly through his actions. In uncertainty, he listened to God. In fear, he chose to trust. Entrusted with the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the upbringing of Jesus Christ, he responded with courage, humility, and unwavering faith.

“Ite ad Ioseph” is more than a reminder—it is a way of life. When we do not understand God’s plan, Joseph teaches us to surrender. When responsibilities weigh heavily on us, he shows that grace always accompanies our calling. When anxiety about the future arises, he gently leads us to trust in God’s providence, even when the way forward is unclear.

In a world that moves quickly and often feels uncertain, Saint Joseph stands as a model of quiet fidelity. He does not seek recognition, yet fulfills a mission of great importance. He works with diligence, protects his family with love, and remains faithful in the ordinary moments of life. Through him, we learn that holiness is found not only in extraordinary acts, but in daily faithfulness to God.

Today, let us truly “go to Joseph.” May we seek his intercession, imitate his virtues, and entrust to him our families, our work, and our future. In his silence, may we find peace. In his obedience, may we gain courage. And through his faithful heart, may we be led ever closer to Christ.

HEADS UP! BIG CATHOLIC CELEBRATIONS ARE COMING!

May is not just a busy month—it is a powerful time in our faith. Three very important Sundays remind us of who God is and how He continues to work in our lives.

May 17 – Ascension of Jesus
On this day, Jesus goes up to heaven after rising from the dead. It may seem like He is leaving, but He promises to stay with us in a new way. The Ascension reminds us that our true home is with God, and that Jesus is always watching over us and preparing a place for us.

May 24 – Pentecost
This is when the Holy Spirit comes down upon the apostles. They were afraid at first, but after receiving the Holy Spirit, they became brave and began to share the Good News. Pentecost reminds us that we are never alone—God gives us strength, wisdom, and courage through the Holy Spirit.

May 31 – Trinity Sunday
On this day, we celebrate the mystery of one God in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It reminds us that God is a loving relationship, and we are invited to be part of that love every day of our lives.

As these great celebrations approach, let us prepare our hearts. Pray more, trust God more, and stay close to Him. May this month of May be filled with grace, peace, and deeper faith.
