The convention will be held on August 24-25, 2025, at the Bulwagang BUeño, Student Union Center, Bicol University, Legazpi City.

ONE TREE = ONE LIFE 🌿🌳

Today, on April 27, 2024, the LaCiencia officers and members, led by Ma'am Zipporah Diane Esmeralda and Dr. Ronaldo Paguirigan from MENRO Daet alongside Barangay Officials, spearheaded an initiative for environmental conservation by successfully planting 100 mahogany trees near the riverside of Purok 4 Manlabas, Brgy. Dogongan, Daet, Camarines Norte.

An activity that captures not just the planting of trees, but rather the way we want to make a significant change and catalyze the community, our youths, and the hope of our future. And indeed, there's no other solution than to take care of our environment, planting trees, and sowing more seeds.

As said by Dr. Ronaldo Paguirigan from Daet MENRO, "Aircon is not the solution but planting more trees is." So, if we want to reduce the warming of the earth and a more balanced climate, we must think sustainably. Especially now, given the intense heat that we are experiencing.

And from the Organization of LaCiencia, we want to be part of the solution. We know we can catalyze an impact, so we plant trees for the next generations! 🌳🌳🌳

And as you know, these trees are what keep shielding us from the intense heat!

So, let's unite and join us in being part of the solution. Reminding ourselves that we are not just planting trees, but we are all making a positive impact and catalyzing a significant change.

This activity aims to raise awareness and combat environmental threats, including the ongoing challenges of climate change, global warming, and pollution. It reinforces the reminder that we, the people, have an individual responsibility to preserve our planet's biodiversity and health.🌿🌿🌿

Congratulations to our beloved STEMians! Talagang Oragon, Tatak BIOragon!

𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 1𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐁𝐞𝐞

“Sayang, malapit na sana,” said Althea Faye Lavarez, member of one of the three teams of Camarines Norte Senior High School (CNSHS), who competed with 98 teams from 50 participating schools in the entire region during the 1st Regional Biology Quiz Bee held at the University of Nueva Caceres Gymnasium in Naga City, Camarines Sur, on April 13, 2024.

Althea Faye Lavarez, Allaine Wentworth Calmateo, and Aika Allysa Combo successfully clinched the Top 11.

Meanwhile, Dan Oliver Bondoc, Roxannah Grace Venida, and Justine Mae De Rama grabbed the Top 15.

Furthermore, John Zedrich Lagatuz, Amber Lois Abaño, and April Klarisse Valle nabbed the Top 21.

The CNSHS’ teams were coached by Ma’am Zipporah Diane C. Esmeralda and Ma’am Jenina S. Lim.

While none of the three teams made it to the top 10 finalists, they expressed gratitude for ranking closely to the top 10.

Moreover, Ma’am Esmeralda expressed her pride in the teams despite not making it to the championship round, considering they only had four days of preparation.
