Today, May 15, we joyfully celebrate the feast of Saint Isidore the Farmer, the humble patron saint of farmers and laborers.

His life reminds us that through hard work, faith, and prayer, every seed planted with love will bear fruit in God’s perfect time. May his example inspire us to value simplicity, kindness, and dedication in serving both God and community.

Happy Feast Day, St. Isidore the Farmer! May he continue to guide and bless all farmers and workers with abundant harvest, strength, and peace.

May is a special month for Christians because it is dedicated to our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary. During this month, the faithful honor Mary through prayers, flower offerings, the Flores de Mayo, Santacruzan, daily rosaries, and Marian processions. These traditions remind us of Mary’s humility, obedience, and loving care as the Mother of all Christians. Celebrating the Month of May strengthens our faith, unites communities, and inspires us to follow Mary’s example of devotion to God and service to others. As flowers bloom this season, may our hearts also bloom with love, prayer, and gratitude to our Blessed Mother.

Ngayong Linggo ng Palaspas, ating ginugunita ang matagumpay na pagpasok ni Hesus sa Jerusalem—isang pangyayaring sinalubong ng mga tao sa pamamagitan ng pagwawagayway ng mga palaspas bilang tanda ng papuri at pananampalataya. Ang araw na ito ang nagsisilbing simula ng Mahal na Araw, na nagpapaalala sa atin ng pag-ibig, sakripisyo, at kababaang-loob ni Kristo para sa sangkatauhan.

Sa kasaysayan, ang paggunita ng Linggo ng Palaspas ay nag-ugat pa noong unang panahon ng Kristiyanismo, kung saan ginaya ng mga mananampalataya ang ginawang pagsalubong kay Hesus bilang Hari. Hanggang sa kasalukuyan, patuloy itong isinasagawa sa pamamagitan ng prusisyon at pagbabasbas ng mga palaspas sa simbahan.

Mahalaga ang araw na ito sa sambayanan sapagkat ito ay paanyaya sa bawat isa na suriin ang sariling pananampalataya at makiisa sa paglalakbay ni Kristo—mula sa tagumpay hanggang sa sakripisyo. Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala ng tunay na diwa ng paglilingkod, pagmamahal, at pag-asa sa gitna ng ating buhay.
