Sa pamamagitan ng Resolution No. 10-2025 na ipinasa sa ginanap na Pre Disaster Risk Assessment Meeting noong Oktubre 14, 2025 ng Batangas Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), napagkasunduan na magsagawa ng Province-wide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill sa lahat ng bayan at lungsod ng Lalawigan ng Batangas sa Oktubre 22, 2025, Miyerkules, 9AM.

Magkatuwang itong isasagawa ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Batangas, sa pangunguna ni Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto, DILG - Batangas at PHIVOLCS. Panawagan ni Gov. Vi na makiisa ang lahat sa buong lalawigan sa paghahandang ito.

Mariano Alvarez, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario), Laguna(Cabuyao, Calamba, Santa Rosa, Binan, San Pedro), Rizal(Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Angono, Cainta, Taytay, Teresa), Tarlac(Bamban, Capas, Mayantoc, San Clemente, San Jose) and Bulacan(Angat, Balagtas, Baliuag, Bocaue, Bulakan, Bustos, Calumpit, Malolos, Meycauayan, San Jose del Monte, Guiguinto, Hagonoy, Marilao, Norzagaray, Obando, Pandi, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Santa Maria) which may persist within 3 hours.

𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗚 𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗧𝗔𝗦 𝗡𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗦

The Provincial Government of Batangas, thru the Batangas Provincial DRRMO, joins the global community in observing 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (DRR) today, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

Under the theme “𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔,” International Day for DRR calls for a decisive shift: fund resilience now to avoid paying for disasters later.

The International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction was started in 1989, after a call by the United Nations General Assembly for a day to promote a global culture of risk-awareness and disaster reduction. Held every 13 October, the day celebrates how people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of reining in the risks that they face.

As of 2:00 AM today, 07 October 2025, Typhoon "HALONG" (formerly LPA 10a) is still being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 10b) being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and NOW has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.
