YCC extends its deepest gratitude to Kuya John Patrick A. de Castro (Organist, Musician, Score Arranger of Diocese of Malolos) for delivering an important and insightful formation lecture about sacred music and the importance of the choir as lay liturgical ministers of the mass.

We are reminded of our role to guide the congretation toward full, conscious, and active participation in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Ultimately, we are taught that the sole purpose of sacred music in the mass is for the glory of God and the sanctification of the faithful. As ministers, our mission is to lead the faithful into deeper worship and more active participation through our music.

John 6:53-55

"Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."

Today, we celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi. We are reminded that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist and that the bread and wine become the real body and blood of Christ. We are taught that only through His real presence do we attain salvation. Just as our bodies are sustained through food and drink, our souls can only be nourished through Christ, the living bread who came from heaven.

Today the YCC joined to celebrate and, honor one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, through the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.

John 3:16
"God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but might have eternal life."
