𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟎𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 (𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲) | 𝐒𝐭. 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐥

The joyful celebration of Easter Sunday was presided over by Oscar Jaime L. Florencio together with the concelebrating AFP Chaplains, as the faithful rejoiced in the Resurrection of our Lord.

The day began with the meaningful Salubong procession, where the male participants, together with the image of the Risen Christ, came from Divine Grace Chapel, while the female participants, together with Mama Mary, came from Immaculate Conception Chapel. The encounter was beautifully highlighted by angel performances celebrating the Risen Christ, followed by the symbolic removal of the black veil from Mama Mary, signifying the end of sorrow and the beginning of joy.

After the Mass, the celebration continued with an Easter egg hunt open not only for children but for everyone, bringing smiles, laughter, and a sense of community as many joyfully participated. It was truly a day of hope, unity, and celebration of new life in Christ.

The solemn celebration of Holy Saturday, highlighted by the Easter Vigil, was presided over by 𝐇.𝐄 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐎𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐋. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨, 𝐃.𝐃. 𝐒𝐓𝐡𝐃 together with the concelebrating AFP Chaplains.

This sacred night signifies waiting in hope and prayer at the tomb of Christ, as the Church prepares for His Resurrection. The celebration began with the blessing of the fire outside the church and the lighting of the Paschal Candle, symbolizing Christ as the Light of the world. This was followed by the blessing of the holy water and the joyful singing of the Gloria, where lights were turned on, marking the transition from darkness to light and from sorrow to celebration. Truly, it was a night filled with faith, renewal, and the promise of new life.

The solemn observance of Good Friday was presided over by 𝐇.𝐄 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐎𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐋. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨, 𝐃.𝐃. 𝐒𝐓𝐡𝐃, together with other concelebrating AFP Chaplains, as the faithful gathered in deep prayer and reflection on the suffering and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Stations of the Cross and procession were held around Camp Aguinaldo, where despite the heat of the sun and physical exhaustion, many parishioners wholeheartedly participated with devotion and reverence. Each step taken and each station prayed became a powerful expression of faith, sacrifice, and love—mirroring Christ’s journey to Calvary. In unity, the community offered not only their strength but also their hearts, making the day a truly meaningful remembrance of His passion and saving grace.

The sacred celebration of the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, held on Maundy Thursday, was presided over by 𝐇.𝐄 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐎𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐋. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨, 𝐃.𝐃. 𝐒𝐓𝐡𝐃, together with other concelebrating AFP Chaplains. This solemn liturgy commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood, as well as the humble act of Christ washing the feet of His disciples.

The celebration was followed by a simple yet meaningful feast shared with the apostles, sacristans, and fellow parishioners, reflecting the spirit of unity and fellowship, just as Christ shared His last meal with His disciples.

A meaningful celebration of 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 brought together many parishioners in faith and unity, commemorating the Lord’s entrance with hearts full of praise and devotion. The Holy Mass was presided over by 𝐇.𝐄 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐎𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐋. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨, 𝐃.𝐃. 𝐒𝐓𝐡𝐃, whose presence made the celebration even more solemn and grace-filled.

In the afternoon, the youth gathered for a 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 led by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧, guiding everyone in preparing their minds, hearts, and spirits for the upcoming Holy Week.

The day became even more special with a heartfelt 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 and 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
prepared by the youth for our beloved Nanay in church, 𝐀𝐭𝐞 “𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲” 𝐓𝐢𝐧, whose unwavering love, care, and guidance continue to inspire us all to serve with sincerity and joy.
