The June 8, 2026 Magnitude 7.8 earthquake jolted the cities of General Santos and Koronadal and the provinces of Sarangani, South Cotabato, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro and other adjacent provinces.

As of June 10, 2026 at 10:40 in the morning, there were 45 deaths listed. Sarangani province - 18, South Cotabato - 15, Davao de Oro and Davao del Sur - 11 and an ongoing validation for the missing 17 person.

Kidlikasan is launching "𝗗𝗢-𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻," a donation drive aimed at providing immediate assistance to the residents of 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗸 𝗝𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗼, 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝘂 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗹𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻, 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶, who were severely affected by the 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 7.8 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 on June 8, 2026. Beyond being members of the community, many of these families are mangrove heroes and environmental stewards.

Now, many are facing damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and limited access to basic necessities. We call on everyone to join us in supporting those most in need.
