A snapshot of Septembers activity.

In the month of September we were able to deliver 101 EORE sessions, 57 to communities and 44 to schools, throughout Mindanao, with a total of 6,275 beneficiaries of which 4,104 were children.

We were also able to conduct 55 NTS sessions.

Our thanks go out to the LGUs, DepEd and MBHTE for allowing us access to the communities and children under their care.

So many people around the world have fallen victim to UXO it is essential that we have the opportunity to teach them the Safe and Unsafe behavior when encountering a UXO.

👏 Recognising Dedicated Volunteers in the Philippines

In Mindanao, our explosive ordnance risk education teams consist of committed volunteers—local people determined to pass on the safety messages to their communities.

Recently, Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto, Marawi City Schools Division Superintendent, was honoured with a brass bell and a certificate of commendation by Craig Dreghorn, FSD Mindanao Operations Manager, for her remarkable leadership and dedication to community safety.

Thanks to the dedication of 18 volunteer teachers and supervisors, schools and communities across Lanao del Sur have been reached through life-saving awareness sessions.

We sincerely appreciate the Marawi City Schools Division Office and its volunteers for their ongoing support in making communities safer.

A snapshot of August's activity.

In the month of August we were able to deliver 78 EORE sessions, 29 to communities and 49 to schools, throughout Mindanao, with a total of 10,344 beneficiaries of which 8,996 were children.

We were also able to conduct 29 NTS sessions.

Our thanks go out to the LGUs, DepEd and MBHTE for allowing us access to the communities and children under their care.

In addition FSD field staff were responsible for directly facilitating the removal of 15 items of UXO by the PNP EOD from various communities resulting in 1,358 direct beneficiaries.

So many people around the world have fallen victim to UXO it is essential that we have the opportunity to teach them the Safe and Unsafe behavior when encountering a UXO.

We were also able to conduct 70 NTS sessions.

In addition FSD field staff were responsible for directly facilitating the removal of 7 items of UXO by the PNP EOD from various communities resulting in 502 direct beneficiaries.
