Farewell Wassiyah 2026
Honoring Faith, Knowledge, and Service in the Journey Beyond Graduation
Tears shimmered like silent prayers beneath hopeful smiles as the Farewell Wassiyah 2026 of Cotabato City Bangsamoro Stand Alone Senior High School unfolded—a heartfelt tribute to a journey shaped by faith, strengthened by knowledge, and guided by service.
The program began in the most sacred way—through the soulful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by one of the students. Each verse echoed across the hall, calming restless hearts and reminding everyone that every ending is, in truth, a beginning written by Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
With grace and warmth, the ever-energetic and inspiring school head, Ma’am Jeanette Abas Gaudiano, delivered her welcome address. Her words embraced the graduates like a mother sending her children into the world—filled with pride, hope, and unwavering belief in their potential. She reminded them that while they leave the halls of their beloved school, they carry with them the values that define a true Bangsamoro learner.
The atmosphere deepened with purpose as the keynote speaker, Dr. Jhony G. Balawag, D1 of MBHTE-BARMM, took the stage. His message resonated beyond motivation—it was a call to action. He spoke of resilience, responsibility, and the duty of every graduate to become a beacon of change in their community. His words ignited hearts, reminding everyone that education is not just an achievement, but a mission.
Moments of pride followed as outstanding students were recognized for their excellence. The awarding of Outstanding Performance in Islamic Studies (ISAL) and MSO Awards for Leadership and Service highlighted not just academic brilliance, but character, dedication, and faith in action. Each award told a story of sacrifice, perseverance, and unwavering commitment.
But as the program neared its end, emotions rose like waves that could no longer be held back. Sir Esmael Taguegaya delivered the closing remarks—words so sincere and heartfelt that they stirred something deep within everyone present. It was in that moment that the reality of farewell settled in, and tears began to fall—not out of sadness alone, but out of gratitude for memories that will forever be cherished.
Adding light and meaning to the heaviness of goodbye, MSO Adviser Ustadz Alpata M. Utto shared a message filled with wisdom, gratitude, and compassion. He emphasized the beauty of helping one another—that through unity and cooperation, even the most difficult journeys become easier to walk. With a grateful heart, he expressed his deep appreciation to the faculties, the ever-supportive parents, and the dedicated learners whose efforts made every achievement possible. He also extended his sincere gratitude to the school head, Ma’am Jeanette Abas Gaudiano, for her unwavering support, leadership, and commitment to the growth of the students and the institution.
He then shared a powerful hadith: “Paradise lies under the feet of your mother.” A simple yet profound reminder that success is never complete without honoring those who raised, guided, and sacrificed for us. He gently reminded the students to remain steadfast in their faith, to uphold good character, and to avoid actions that lead away from righteousness, encouraging them to live lives filled with purpose, dignity, and obedience to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
Finally, the program concluded with a closing du’a—a collective whisper of hopes, dreams, and gratitude lifted to the heavens. Hands were raised, hearts were full, and tears flowed freely, sealing the moment with faith.
Farewell Wassiyah 2026 was not merely a ceremony—it was a heartfelt send-off, a reminder that every ending carries the seeds of a new beginning. As the graduates step beyond the gates of their alma mater, they carry with them not just knowledge, but faith, service, and the responsibility to make a difference.
And though they part ways today, their stories will forever remain intertwined—written in the halls they once called home, and in the hearts they will never truly leave behind.
