Today we celebrate National Heroes Day a day to honor not just the famous names in our history books, but all the brave Filipinos who sacrificed their lives, their comfort, and their future so we could live in freedom. Yung mga nakipaglaban noong panahon ng rebolusyon, yung mga hindi natakot tumindig para sa bayan, at yung mga nag-alay ng lahat kahit walang kasiguraduhan they are the reason why we stand free today. Their courage wasn’t just for themselves, it was for every generation that would come after them, including us.
But heroes aren’t only found in the past. Even now, we have modern-day heroes around us yung mga frontliners, g**o, magsasaka, manggagawa, at bawat Pilipino na patuloy na lumalaban para sa pamilya at sa bayan araw-araw. They may not have fought in wars, pero ang kanilang sipag, katapatan, at pagmamahal sa kapwa is a different kind of bravery that keeps our country going. Hindi kailangang maging sikat para maging bayani sometimes being a hero simply means doing what is right, no matter how hard it gets.
So today, let’s take a moment to remember, to be grateful, and to honor them all. Ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon ay hindi libre it was paid with their blood, sweat, and tears. Let’s carry their legacy in our hearts and do our part to make our nation proud, for them and for the future. 🇵🇭✊
