𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠

Out of sincere concern for the safety and dignity of every BARMM constituent, we call for sober, peaceful, and just elections on 14 September.

Violence has shadowed the polls since they opened. With only a few hours left, we urgently appeal for an immediate end to all violence, intimidation, and coercion. No one should have to vote in fear. We still hope this day can close on a more peaceful and humane note.

We call on voters, the military and security forces, regional political parties, candidates, election officials, civil society, and all stakeholders to uphold integrity, restraint, and the rule of law. Any grievances must be pursued only through peaceful and lawful means.

We further hope that violence and fear-mongering will not continue beyond today. The Bangsamoro people have endured enough. They deserve a new and regular parliamentary government built on genuine consent, not fear or coercion.

Let us choose dialogue over division, peace over conflict, and justice over power, so that the true will of the people may be freely expressed and BARMM’s future may rest on dignity and hope.
