The Cotabato Regional and Medical Center β Department of Pediatrics, in partnership with the Philippine Pediatric Society, successfully conducted the Dengue Integrated Program at the CRMC Grand Auditorium. The activity was attended by health professionals, partner agencies, and community representatives, highlighting the collective effort to address dengue as a pressing public health concern.
The event wasnβt just about lecturesβit was about empowering the community with the right knowledge and practical steps to fight dengue. From learning how to keep our surroundings clean, reducing mosquito breeding sites, to understanding early detection and proper treatment, everyone was reminded that the fight against dengue starts in our very own homes. π‘β¨
What made the activity even more meaningful was the strong collaboration between healthcare experts and the community. It showed us that preventing dengue is not just the responsibility of doctors and hospitalsβit is a shared mission that needs teamwork, awareness, and action from all of us. πͺπ€
Special thanks to Dr. Isolde B. Mayo, our Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist and Dengue Program Coordinator, Dr. Bai Samirah A. Singgon, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, and of course, to our Medical Center Chief Dr. Ishmael R. Dimaren, for their constant support and leadership in championing programs that truly make a difference. π
This activity is a strong reminder: a united community is a healthier community. Together, we can beat dengue and save lives! ππ¦
