Flying out today to Srinagar from Indra Gandhi International Airport- Terminal 1, and honestly, ang smooth ng experience from the moment we entered. Ramdam mo agad na organized ang sistema. Very strict din sila, they really check every gamit. During security scanning, kailangan hiwa-hiwalay sa tray ang electronics, including chargers, so medyo matrabaho but it makes sense for safety.

What I appreciated most is how efficient everything feels. Ang daming self check-in kiosks, and even the bag drop is self-service, so hindi crowded sa counters. Tuloy-tuloy lang ang flow. Staff are very accommodating too, approachable and ready to help. Hindi ka mahihiyang magtanong.

Paglampas mo ng first security on the first floor, before pa boarding gates, may line-up na agad ng shops — mix of local and international brands. Then upstairs, may food court with a lot of options, perfect if you want to chill muna before your flight.

Small detail but very impressive: the CR has a monitor outside showing how many cubicles are available. Walang hulaan, walang pila sa labas. Ang efficient.

The airport itself feels modern, may murals and art exhibits around the terminal, so hindi lang siya functional space, may cultural touch din.

Mapapasana-all ka na lang. Sana ganito rin consistently sa airports natin, especially NAIA. Same level of organization, clarity, and passenger comfort. Makes travel less stressful and more enjoyable from the very start.

NAIA Terminal 3

Flying out of NAIA Terminal 3 especially peak hours, medyo challenging talaga. From check-in pa lang, super haba na ng pila, and since some of the self-check-in kiosks aren’t working, no choice but to pila the old-school way. It really adds to the crowd and waiting time.

Even inside the boarding area, it’s still very packed—shops are full, seating is limited, and moving around can be a bit stressful. Maybe improving the reliability of the kiosks, adding more open counters during busy hours, and better crowd management would help a lot. NAIA T3 has so much potential and with these small upgrades, the departure experience could be way smoother for everyone.

Traveling alone to Japan was something I almost convinced myself would never happen.

Japan had always been on my list — so close to the Philippines, just about a 4-hour flight from Manila, yet it felt far because of the strict visa requirements. I prepared, hoped, waited… and almost gave up. But sometimes, the trips that nearly don’t happen become the ones that change you the most.

Fast forward, last December— I found myself in Japan for a week, traveling solo.

I stayed in a capsule hotel in the heart of Asakusa, small space, big experience. Every morning felt like stepping into a film set. Quiet streets, vending machines humming, locals already on the move. From there, I walked about 30 minutes to Senso-ji Temple and the old shopping streets nearby, taking my time, getting lost on purpose, letting the city introduce itself slowly.

Traveling alone teaches you how to talk to strangers — and how to trust moments. I once took the train to Kawagoe with a local I randomly met at the station. No long plans, just shared direction and curiosity. I tried the Shinkansen to Karuizawa, watching the scenery blur past like a moving postcard. I rode local trains to Ueno, wandered parks, stood quietly in museums, and learned that silence can be a good travel companion too.

Some trips are not just about places — they’re about making peace with yourself. Somewhere between train rides, temple walks, and convenience store dinners, I learned to accept myself more, forgive myself more, and breathe without rushing.

Solo travel didn’t make me feel alone. It made me feel honest.

Japan, you were worth the wait. 🇯🇵

Victory Liner’s bus terminal in Baguio is easily one of the best I’ve been to! It’s clean, spacious, and very passenger-friendly. There are plenty of benches where you can sit comfortably while waiting, and the design is well thought out—with both stairs and an elevator for easy access. I also love that there are food stalls on the upper level, making the wait more convenient. This should be the benchmark for city terminals!
