The PICPA Cotabato City Chapter invites CPAs and other professionals to the three-day face-to-face Training on RA 12009: New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).

Featuring GPPB-TSO accredited speakers, the training is designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of the new government procurement framework under Republic Act No. 12009 and its IRR.

𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐏𝐀 𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐄𝐒 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐍 𝟖𝟏𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐂 𝐂𝐏𝐃 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

The 𝟴𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗣𝗔 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗔𝗡𝗖) 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 has issued a rectification to its August 24, 2026 advisory regarding the status of the convention’s CPD accreditation.

The Committee clarified that it is 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗣𝗗 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, which will be subject to review and approval by the PICPA Training Division and the Executive Director before submission through the PRC Continuing Professional Development Accreditation System (CPDAS).

The official program, CPD accreditation number, and approved CPD units will be released once PRC approval is received. Registration and payment will likewise open after approval.

Members and interested participants are advised to take note of this clarification and await further official announcements regarding the 81st PICPA ANC.

The PICPA Cotabato City Chapter joins Notre Dame University – College of Business and Accountancy in celebrating its May 2026 Certified Public Accountants during the CPA Thanksgiving Ceremony held on August 22, 2026, at Tanghalang Michael Clark, Notre Dame University.

With the theme “𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙀𝙎, 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮, 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚,” the ceremony honored the perseverance and achievement of NDU’s newest CPAs as they begin a new chapter in the accountancy profession.

Representing the Chapter was Executive Vice President Atty. Ariff A. Lao, CPA, who delivered the Keynote Address and led the Oath of Membership.

The PICPA Cotabato City Chapter joined fellow chapters across the Southern Mindanao Region for the 1st FY 2026–2027 SMR Council Session and Induction Ceremony, held on August 21, 2026, at the PICPA Davao Chapter, Davao City.

The gathering brought together the region’s leadership for the SMR Advisory Council Organization Meeting, followed by the formal induction of the FY 2026–2027 SMR Council. The program also featured messages from regional and chapter leaders, highlighted by the keynote address of Atty. Roland Pondoc, CPA, PICPA Past National President FY 2024–2025.

The occasion marked another step toward stronger collaboration and shared leadership among PICPA chapters in Southern Mindanao as the Region advances the profession under this year’s theme, EMPOWER: Elevating the Filipino CPA Towards Ethical Leadership and Global Excellence.

PICPA Cotabato City Chapter looks forward to another year of meaningful partnerships, active regional engagement, and collective service to the accountancy profession.
