CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) is calling on dynamic youth organizations, sectoral representatives, and government youth offices to apply for membership in the Regional Youth Advisory Council (RYAC)!

👉Why apply?
As part of this council, your organization will serve as an advisory body to the Commission, providing sectoral perspectives, policy recommendations, and developmental insights on matters affecting Bangsamoro youth.

If your organization is driven, active, and ready to lead, read the guidelines below and apply today!

📋Requirements for applicant organization or institution:
1. Authorized Representative must be 15–30 years old
2. Member of a legitimate youth organization
3. Letter of Intent
4. Board Resolution, Secretary’s Certificate, or equivalent authorizing participation and designating an Authorized Representative and an Alternate Representative
5. Proof of Legal Existence (BYC Certificate of Accreditation, government registration/accreditation, or other official proof recognized by the Technical Working Committee)
6. Organizational Profile
7. Proof of implementation of youth-related projects/advocacies within the last 2 years
8. Proof of sectoral affiliation/representation, constituency, or primary engagement in the sector being represented

Note: Special requirements will apply for Bangsamoro Communities Outside BARMM (BCOBAR) applicants.

📌 Minimum Qualifications
* Established track record of youth-related programs, advocacy, or community engagement
* Operating within BARMM or representing Bangsamoro youth
* Capacity to participate meaningfully in regional consultative processes
* Maintained good standing within your respective sector or constituency
* Complete submission of all prescribed documentary requirements

For Government Youth Offices (PYDOs, LYDOs, SK Federations, etc.): Government youth offices may apply without organizational registration requirements by submitting:
1. Letter of Intent
2. Certification or Endorsement from the concerned Local Chief Executive (PYDOs must submit an endorsement from the Provincial Governor)
3. Proof of designation, appointment, or authority of the Authorized Representative

Disqualification: Organizations will be disqualified for falsified documents, illegal/contrary activities, non-operational status, or failing prescribed requirements.

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃: Official Statement of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission on the 2026 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections

As the region prepares for the historic first Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections on September 14, 2026, the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) calls on every eligible young Bangsamoro voter to exercise their democratic right to suffrage, to vote freely, responsibly and on the basis of informed judgement.

The Bangsamoro youth have an important role in shaping the future of governance in the region. Participation of the youth becomes meaningful when their votes are guided by informed, principled, and independent choices taking into account the qualifications, integrity, track record, platforms, and commitment of candidates to public service.

This is especially significant as, for the first time, the Bangsamoro youth will have a Youth Sectoral Representative to the Bangsamoro Parliament.

This gives young people a direct voice in the Parliament and a dedicated representative who can bring forward their realities, aspirations, concerns, and priorities.

The Youth Sectoral Representative will therefore carry the important responsibility of representing the diverse interests of the Kabataang Bangsamoro and helping ensure that youth issues are heard in the policies and decisions that affect them.

We therefore encourage young voters to carefully consider who can genuinely uphold this responsibility and advance the rights, welfare, and meaningful participation of young people in governance and development.

This Commission likewise encourages young voters to seek information from credible and reliable sources, understand the electoral process, and remain vigilant against misinformation and disinformation, vote buying, intimidation, and other practices that undermine the free, peaceful, and credible conduct of elections.

As the Bangsamoro Government’s policy-making and coordinating body on youth affairs, this Commission remains impartial and does not endorse any candidate, political party, or sectoral organization. We uphold the right of every voter to make a free and independent choice according to their own informed judgment and conscience.

To every young Bangsamoro voter: your vote is both a right and a responsibility. The leaders we elect, including our Youth Sectoral Representative, will help shape the policies, institutions, and decisions that will affect young people and the future of the Bangsamoro for years to come.

On September 14, 2026, let us take part in this historic exercise. Let us make informed and independent choices, and choose leaders who demonstrate competence, integrity, and a genuine commitment to serving the Bangsamoro people.

Meet SCL. Jaya Harvy Makol, the first Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Ateneo Islamic Studies Department and the Class 2024 Batch Salutatorian of Ateneo de Davao University. She is now a part-time faculty member in the department and public servant at the NCMF Region XI Office.

As a former scholar of the university, student leader of the Ateneo Islamic Studies Students Association & SALAM - The Ateneo Muslim Society and passionate Al Qalam volunteer, Jaya took part in transformative local and international initiatives that helped define her path in education and community service.
