Following the recent earthquake that affected several areas across Mindanao, the Social Work Department of Coland Systems Technology Inc. encourages all students, faculty, and staff to remain calm, vigilant, and prepared.
Natural disasters can affect not only our physical safety but also our emotional and psychological well-being. As future social workers, it is important that we practice preparedness, resilience, and compassion during challenging situations.
Here are some reminders:

Stay updated through official announcements and verified sources of information.

Familiarize yourself with evacuation routes and safe areas at home, in school, and in your community.

Prepare an emergency kit containing essential supplies such as water, food, medicines, flashlights, and important documents.

Check on your family members, classmates, neighbors, and those who may need assistance, especially children, older adults, and persons with disabilities.

Manage stress and anxiety by maintaining healthy routines, getting enough rest, and talking with trusted friends or family members.

Limit exposure to misinformation and unverified reports that may cause unnecessary fear or panic.

Seek support when needed and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength.
