The Alhuffaz Leadership Development Academy, Inc. (ALDA) successfully conducted separate orientation sessions for its first batch of Qalbun Saleem (Diploma Course) Leadership Program (QSLP) for male and female students on January 17 and 18, 2026, respectively.

The orientation marked the students’ first official engagement with ALDA, where the management team warmly welcomed them and provided a comprehensive overview of the program. The session was guided by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alhuffaz Charity Foundation in Southern Philippines Inc., Sheikh Mas’od L. Mohammadali, whose presence added inspiration and direction to the gathering.

To highlight the foundation and purpose of ALDA, Engr. Zubair A. Guiaman, Executive Director of Alhuffaz Foundation, discussed the Academy’s vision, mission, and core values, emphasizing its commitment to developing 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀.

During the orientation, students were also introduced to the subjects for the first semester of Academic Year 2026. One of QSLP’s esteemed lecturers, Sheikh Samer “Abu Wael” Badawi, shared the program’s long-term goals, noting that by the end of the two-year journey, students are expected—bi idhnillah—to possess: 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 (𝗮𝗾𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗵), 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗾𝗵 (𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲), 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗿’𝗮𝗻 (𝘁𝗮𝗷𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗱 & 𝘁𝗮𝗳𝘀𝗶𝗿), 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 ﷺ.

ALDA’s Administrator, Sheikh Rahman Nor S. Malang, also discussed the school’s policies and regulations to ensure clarity, discipline, and a conducive learning environment.

The orientation concluded with the election of class officers for both male and female groups, empowering students to actively participate in organizing and facilitating their class activities.

Alhuffaz Foundation Inaugurates Leadership Academy and Turns Over ISWAF Training Center as Waqf Endowment from MP Butch Malang

A significant milestone in the pursuit of Moral Governance and educational development in the Bangsamoro region was marked with the Turnover Ceremony of the Alhuffaz ISWAF Training Center and the newly upgraded Alhuffaz Office as Waqf (Endowment) from the Office of the Member of Parliament Butch P. Malang, along with the Launching of the Alhuffaz Leadership Development Academy (ALDA) on November 7, 2025.

The ceremony was attended by key personalities led by Hon. Butch P. Malang, Member of the Parliament of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) and Concurrent Administrator of the Special Geographic Area Development Authority (SGADA-BARMM) and Chairman of M**F-CCCH.

Also present were Shaikh Masod Lantong Mohammadali, Chairman of the Alhuffaz Foundation Board of Directors; Engr. Zubair A. Guiaman, Executive Director of the Alhuffaz Foundation; Shaikh Samsudin I. Abdulrahman, Director for International Relations; Shaikh Salahuddin Lantong, Director for Education Affairs; Shaikh Samir T. Badawi, Director for Alhuffaz ISWAF Management Office; Mr. Nomaire Mustapha, Director for Enterprise and Waqf Development; and Mr. Datu Abdulshattar Zailon, Director for Humanitarian and Health Affairs.

Strengthening Moral Governance Through Education
The turnover and launching ceremonies were initiatives under the stewardship of Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, as part of MP Malang’s broader effort to foster unity, holistic development, and the nurturing of morally upright citizens—pillars essential for realizing the BARMM’s vision of Moral Governance.

MP Butch Malang emphasized that maintaining maximum tolerance amid challenges is crucial in today’s circumstances to safeguard the hard-earned gains of the GPH-M**F Peace Process and ensure lasting peace and sustainable development.

In his message, Shaikh Masod Lantong Mohammadali emphasized that “the Qur’an is a complete way of life that anyone can benefit from, provided they adhere to its teachings.” He highlighted the integral role of Islamic education in shaping a disciplined and God-conscious citizenry.

Meanwhile, Engr. Zubair A. Guiaman, Executive Director of Alhuffaz Foundation, expressed his deep gratitude to the Leadership of the Bangsamoro struggle—the late Shaikh Salamat Hashim, (Allahu Yarhamuhu).
Founding Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F); Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, current M**F Chairman and Former BARMM Chief Minister; Mohagher Iqbal, M**F Peace Implementing Panel Chairman; and ICM Abdulraof Macacua, Chief of Staff of the M**F-BIAF.

He noted that their sacrifices laid the foundation for peace, justice, and self-determination in the Bangsamoro, inspiring initiatives like the Alhuffaz institutions to serve both faith and nation.

A Vision for Holistic Human Resource Development
Concluding the ceremony, Shaikh Samsudin I. Abdulrahman reminded the audience that “if the BARMM Government acts for the public interest with full gratitude to Allah, it will transcend to many lives—not only for the Bangsamoro people but for the Filipino people as a whole.”

The Alhuffaz Leadership Development Academy (ALDA) was officially launched as an integrated institution offering Islamic and secular education at all levels.

The Academy aims to promote holistic human resource development, producing leaders who are intellectually equipped, spiritually grounded, and morally guided — reinforcing the Bangsamoro Government’s aspiration for a society founded on justice, knowledge, and faith, In Shaa Allah.

A historic milestone unfolded today in Markaz Pantar, Banisilan, North Cotabato Province, as 20 students successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Qur’an, marking the first batch of graduates from the institution. The event highlighted the community’s growing commitment to Islamic education and moral upliftment for their sustainable peace and development.

The graduation ceremony was graced by prominent leaders and scholars of the Bangsamoro. Among the guests of honor were Hon. Butch P. Malang, Administrator of the Special Geographic Area Development Authority in the BARMM (SGADA-BARMM), Member of Parliament of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, and Chairman of the M**F Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (CCCH); Shaikh Masod Lantong Mohammadali, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Noble Affairs under the Tarbiyyah Committee of the M**F; Engr. Zubair A. Guiaman, Executive Director of Alhuffaz Charity Foundation in Southern Philippines, Inc.; and Shaikh Samsudin I. Abdulrahman, Moral Values Officer of SGADA-BARMM.

In his keynote message, Hon. Butch P. Malang emphasized the central role of the Qur’an in community development, stating that a society rooted in Qur’anic values will flourish in peace, justice, and unity. He encouraged the graduates to live by the teachings of the Qur’an and become role models in their communities.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Masod Lantong Mohammadali reminded the graduates and attendees that the Qur’an is the ultimate weapon in overcoming crises and challenges. “In every struggle and in every crisis, it is the Qur’an that provides guidance, strength, and solutions,” he said, underscoring its timeless role in the lives of the Bangsamoro people.

The ceremony also featured inspirational remarks from Shaikh Samsudin Abdulrahman, who stressed the moral values embedded in the Qur’an as the foundation of good governance and social harmony.

The graduation of the 20 huffaz marks a significant step forward for Markaz Pantar, as it continues its vision of nurturing future generations of Bangsamoro youth grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Two-Day Training Underscores Media and Da’wah as Pillars of Peace and Development in the Bangsamoro

Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte — July 19–20, 2025.
A two-day training workshop titled “International Media and Journalism” and “Southeast Asia’s Perspective on International Da’wah” was successfully held at the Alhuffaz ISWAF Training Center in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, BARMM, Philippines. The program was jointly organized by the Alhuffaz Charity Foundation in Southern Philippines, Inc. and Hidayatullah Indonesia, under a formal Protocol of Cooperation (POC) between the two organizations.

The training gathered professionals and Islamic leaders from across the Bangsamoro region and featured distinguished guest speakers:
* Dzikrullah W. Pramudya, Head of International Relations at Hidayatullah Indonesia
* Ustazah Santi Soekanto, media expert and Islamic educator

Day 1: International Media and Journalism

The first day focused on the critical role of media in shaping narratives, influencing public opinion, and contributing to either peacebuilding or instability. Speakers emphasized that the media is no longer neutral but a strategic tool capable of shaping societal realities.
“Media is a weapon,” declared Ustazah Santi, highlighting the urgent need for Muslims to engage actively in media and information spaces to safeguard truth and uphold values aligned with justice and peace.

Participants took part in group workshops covering eight core areas of media and journalism:�Research, Interviewing, Investigative Reporting, Hard News Writing, Feature Writing, Photography and Videography, Opinion Writing, and Press Release Writing.

The sessions emphasized the importance of a unified Muslim media voice—anchored in Islamic principles—to serve as a counter-narrative to misinformation and to promote truth, accountability, and community development.

Day 2: Southeast Asia’s Perspective on International Da’wah

The second day shifted focus to the spiritual and social mission of da’wah—enjoining good and forbidding evil—and its central role in individual transformation and community upliftment.
“No Muslim is completely Muslim without doing da’wah,” asserted Dzikrullah, reminding participants that da’wah is a duty shared by all, not limited to religious scholars.

The lectures and discussions underscored the need to preserve the soul of the Qur’an, the soul of worship, and the soul of struggle—all guided by the ultimate goal of earning the pleasure of Allah.

Zubair Guiaman, Executive Director of Alhuffaz Foundation, offered a compelling metaphor likening the training to a living tree:
* The seed represents deep learning and sincere intention
* The roots symbolize the people—human resources
* The trunk reflects internal systems, policies, and strategic plans
* The branches signify implementation
* The fruits are the results—lasting impact and societal change

To close the event, Shaikh Masod Lantong Mohammadali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alhuffaz Foundation, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders in support of the GPH-M**F Peace Process and its gains.

The training concluded with renewed energy and hope. Participants left equipped not only with practical skills and tools in media and da’wah, but also with a revitalized sense of mission—to become effective communicators and advocates for peace, unity, and Islamic values in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
