Project Sangkad

Project Sangkad In Maguindanaon, ‘Sangkad’ means ‘to step’. Project Sangkad is a youth-led action project rooted in grassroots and community involvement.

This action project encourages today's youth to take proactive steps by engaging civically and becoming politically aware, especially as they navigate the new political system in the Bangsamoro region. It is an initiative of a 2021 fellow of the Mindanao Young Leaders Programme (MinYLP), a bespoke leadership program managed by UnionAID in collaboration with programme partners Interfacing Developme

nt Intervention for Sustainability (IDIS) and Victoria University of Wellington. The programme is supported by the Aotearoa New Zealand’s International Development Cooperation programme | Nga Hoe Tuputupumai-Tawhiti.
