The central star in our solar system is the SUN. Everything in the solar system, from the largest planets to the tiniest debris particles, is kept in its orbit by its gravitational pull.
The solar system is held together by the force exerted by the sun, which also keeps all of the planets in their orbits, no matter how big or small. Seasons, ocean currents, weather, temperature, radiation belts, and auroras are all influenced by the Sun and Earth's relationship and interactions. The Milky Way galaxy contains billions of stars just like our sun, yet ours is unique.
Numerous names for the sun exist in various civilizations. "Sol," the primary adjective for anything having to do with the sun, comes from the Latin word for "sun." It emits solar energy, or light and heat, which enables life to exist on Earth. To flourish, plants require sunshine. Humans and other animals depend on plants for both food and the oxygen they generate. The earth would freeze if the sun failed to offer heat. ๐ป
