The Calan Proper Youth Organization actively participated in the 2nd KK Assembly of SK Poblacion Cordova yesterday, joining fellow youth leaders in a meaningful gathering that aimed to empower, educate, and inspire the young generation of Cordova.

This semester’s assembly featured:
✨️ A talk on the importance of crafting an effective résumé
✨ Updates on youth-centered activities and initiatives
✨ Presentation of SK resolutions
✨ Awarding of the Outstanding Student and the selected SKolars — Hatag Paglaum, Hatag Kaugmaon of Poblacion Cordova
✨ Distribution of giveaways to all participants

After a thorough evaluation of all submitted documents and an in-depth interview conducted by two (2) Certified Human Resource Associates (CHRA) last August 24, 2025, at the Barangay Hall of Poblacion, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Poblacion, Cordova proudly presents the final list of qualified scholars for the “SKolar: Hatag Paglaum, Hatag Kaugmaon” Scholarship Program! These SKolars will receive educational assistance per semester.

Established under SK Resolution No. 03, Series of 2025, this initiative upholds our commitment to empower the youth through education, leadership, and service—providing hope and opportunities for a brighter future.

PRAYER | Loving and Merciful Father,
we come before You in this moment of trial, lifting up to You all our brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake. We pray for their safety and protection. Comfort the fearful, strengthen the weary, and surround the injured and displaced with Your tender care.

We offer special intentions for the churches in northern Cebu that have been destroyed. These sacred spaces have long been places of prayer, hope, and refuge. May they rise again as signs of Your enduring presence among us. Inspire the generosity of hearts and hands to help rebuild what was lost.

May this tragedy awaken in us a deeper sense of solidarity, compassion, and faith in Your providence. Amen.
