The Vocational Rehabilitation Center (VRC) successfully conducted an internship orientation for the massage trainees in preparation for their upcoming on-the-job training. During the orientation, the trainees were informed about their assigned groups and designated internship placements. The VRC staff provided important information regarding each establishment where the trainees would be deployed, including the nature of the workplace, expected duties and responsibilities, schedules, and the proper conduct and work ethics expected from them during their internship. The orientation also served as an opportunity for the trainees to ask questions and clarify concerns to ensure that they were well-prepared and confident before their deployment.
Following the internship orientation, the VRC staff facilitated the second agenda, which focused on the training evaluation. During this session, the trainees were encouraged to openly share their experiences throughout the training program. They discussed the knowledge and skills they had acquired, the challenges they encountered, and the improvements they had observed in themselves since joining the training. The staff also gathered feedback regarding the effectiveness of the training activities and the traineesโ readiness for actual workplace exposure. Many trainees expressed positive changes in their confidence, communication skills, and massage techniques, highlighting how the program had contributed to their personal growth and enhanced their preparedness for employment. The evaluation session provided valuable insights that will help further improve future training programs and ensure that trainees receive the necessary support as they transition to their internship experience.
