𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The DDOSP-SID Compostela Chapter convened on April 5, 2026 to coordinate the organization’s transition into the upcoming academic year.

The session opened with a review of the Learning to Earning Pathways (LEaP!) program, helping student-scholars towards growth through leadership.

The focus then shifted to the future of the chapter’s leadership as the floor opened for the election of officers for the 2026-2027 school year.

To conclude the meeting, the body turned its attention to the highly anticipated General Assembly 2026. Officers facilitated the listing of participants for the events during the celebration.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | In recognition of their unwavering commitment to community development and education, the DDOSP-SID Compostela Chapter was officially honored with the Outstanding Partner in Education Award by Maparat Elementary School.

The award was presented during the school’s 2nd General PTA Assembly Meeting held at the Barangay Maparat Gym on March 21, 2026. Chapter President John Fortuna formally accepted the plaque on behalf of the organization.

This distinction follows the chapter's successful community service initiative conducted last February.

The entire organization expressed its deep gratitude for the recognition, noting that the award is a testament to the hard work and spirit of service shared by every member.

1. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲: Must be designed on a BLACK, SUBLIMATION T-SHIRT. ⬛
2. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: Submit from March 15 – 31, 2026.
3. 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆: Only one (1) entry per municipality, so coordinate with your presidents!
4. 𝗩𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: Online voting starts on April 1, 2026 through a Google form.

From Day Care Centers in the first semester to the hallways of Maparat Elementary School in the second, the DDOSP-SID Compostela Scholars are always on the move — to continue their mission of fostering better learning environments.

​Scholars dedicated their time to various school improvement activities, including a general cleanup, organizing instructional materials, and enhancing the campus surroundings. These efforts aim to provide the students of Maparat a more vibrant and conducive space for their academic growth.

The whole organization extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone made this initiative possible, for their warm welcome that made this service mission a success.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | As the date for the chapter’s community service comes near, the DDOSP-SID of Compostela held a monthly meeting on February 1, 2026.

Agenda includes early reminders on policies and the activities curated for the outreach. The scholars also grouped with their teams, prompting early preparations for their assigned areas.

​Moreover, DDOSP Coordinator Sir John Michael Ladroma paid a visit to check the chapter’s progress and observe the ongoing preparations.

The Compostela Chapter will hold its community service at Maparat Elementary School on February 21, 2026.

Together we grow: Celebrating our new school partnership that empowers learners and strengthens our community.

MAPARAT ES is now officially inked partnership with Samahan ng mga Iskolar ng Davao de Oro. -Adopt a school program.

It's purpose is to strengthen education by combining the resources, expertise, and support to improve student learning outcomes and overall development. They aim to create a holistic environment where schools don’t work in isolation but as part of a larger network that benefits both students and society.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | In preparation for their upcoming outreach, the DDOSP-SID – Compostela Chapter recently conducted an ocular visit at Maparat Elementary School.

The visit brought together the chapter’s ComServ focals, chosen team leaders, and the creative team to perform a comprehensive site assessment. The team focused on mapping out the school’s layout and identifying key areas for the program to ensure the event is both organized and impactful.

This ocular visit is a critical step in ensuring that the February 21 community service is effectively executed. With the groundwork officially laid, the Compostela Chapter is now moving into the final stages of preparation.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The DDOSP-SID Compostela Chapter kicked off the second semester with its first general meeting of the year on January 4, 2026. Led by President John Fortuna, the session focused on strengthening the organization’s commitment to community service and scholar welfare.

The meeting highlighted several key initiatives for the coming months, including a new "Adopt a Scholar" program aimed at supporting local high school students and the establishment of a Mortuary Fund to assist members in times of need. Officers also outlined a busy calendar for the semester, featuring a community outreach project in February and a health seminar in April.

As the chapter looks toward the future, leadership emphasized the importance of accountability and active participation. The semester is set to conclude with the election of new officers and the annual General Assembly in June.
