7-year-old Ivan M. Icalina from Claveria, Misamis Oriental was crowned Champion in the recently concluded Batang Pinoy Chess Henyo – Visayas Leg (5–7 Years Old Category), organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in coordination with the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), held in Cebu City!

🔥 With a perfect record of 5 wins out of 5 tough rounds, Ivan showcased exceptional skill, focus, and determination on the board.

He now proudly joins the Philippine Team – National Athletes Pool for Chess! 🇵🇭
