The BCI administration would like to address the video circulating on social media that was taken by personnel of the Claveria Municipal Police Station (MPS) during their police visibility operation. The video shows an individual conducting bag inspections using a handheld metal detector at the school entrance, which has prompted comments regarding the person's attire.
We wish to clarify that the individual in the video is not a security guard, but a school job order who voluntarily assisted in the bag inspection process while waiting for the assigned security personnel to arrive.
This temporary measure was undertaken in good faith to ensure that security protocols remained in place and that the safety of our learners, personnel, and visitors was not compromised.
The school administration remains fully committed to prioritizing the safety and security of the entire school community. We continuously implement appropriate security measures and work closely with our partner agencies to maintain a safe learning environment.
