With clarity and passion, Mr. Sabellano emphasized the importance of caring for nature and inspired the youth to become responsible stewards of the Earth.

Through engaging discussions and reflections, the BEC-SVC officers guided the participants in understanding their role in protecting and preserving the environment, while the presence of the Sagakay Officers highlighted unity and support for youth-led environmental initiatives. More than just a re-echo, the Binhiyahan became a movement of awareness where ideas were planted like seeds, ready to grow into habits of care, discipline, and sustainability, shaping a generation committed to making a difference.

Congressman Hilarion J. Ramiro Jr. Memorial National High School (CHiRaJ MNHS) actively took part in promoting environmental awareness through its Binhiyahan Re-Echo, with the SSLG officers leading the initiative and the Sagakay Officers present in support and observation. The activity highlighted unity among student leaders and organizations, all working together toward a common goal of inspiring the youth to care for the environment and take part in meaningful action.

Serving as the highlight of the event, speaker Mr. Khyle Sabellano delivered a message centered on the true essence of “binhi” or seed, planting awareness that can grow into responsible habits and sustainable practices. Through engaging discussions and reflections facilitated by the SSLG officers, students were encouraged to recognize that even small actions can create a lasting impact. More than just a re-echo, the activity became a powerful movement of awareness, nurturing environmentally conscious individuals ready to make a difference.

Before the year ends, Sagakay Inc., in partnership with KAVA and MilkteaTah, brought warmth and joy to Masabud Elementary School through a heartfelt gift giving activity last December 31, 2025. What began as a simple act of sharing became a meaningful moment filled with smiles, laughter, and hope, honoring the strength and perseverance of young lives.

Sixty deserving students received gifts as a recognition of their hard work and the hardships they bravely face in life. Beyond the presents were messages of encouragement and belief, reminding them that their efforts matter and that they are seen, valued, and supported as they move forward into a brighter new year.

From a youth movement born in service, Sagakay Philippines Youth Organization is now Sagakay, Inc.

Three years ago, Sagakay was born in the middle of adversity. On Christmas Day, December 25, 2022, Misamis Occidental experienced one of its worst floods, and what began as an urgent call to help became a deeper commitment to serve.

From a simple donation drive, Sagakay grew into a youth-led movement driven by compassion and purpose. We chose to serve beyond politics, beyond one-time aid. We went further than giving gifts and educational kits. We invested in the youth through leadership trainings and workshops, shaping not only skills, but character and vision.

Today, on Christmas Day once again, we celebrate a milestone that reflects how far that mission has come. Sagakay is now SEC registered. More than a legal recognition, it stands as proof of growth, perseverance, and a shared belief that service can be sustained and transformative.

From disaster response to leadership formation, Sagakay, Inc. continues to move forward, carrying the same heart, the same mission, and a stronger foundation to serve more communities and empower more youth in the years ahead.

Clarin National High School has officially completed their Re-Echo for Project BinhiYahan.

Led by the student leaders who joined Sagakay’s Project BinhiYahan, the session gathered the different club presidents of the school, showing how the seeds of learning are now being shared and strengthened within their own community.

With Khyle Sabellano, a Climate Justice champion, discussing environmental awareness and responsible action, the re-echo became a meaningful space for students to reflect on their role in climate action and biodiversity protection.

This is the essence of Project BinhiYahan, students empowering fellow students, knowledge being passed forward, and young leaders taking genuine steps toward a more resilient and environmentally conscious school community.

Here are the moments that shaped the story. The official photos from Project BinhiYahan, frames filled with young leaders eager to learn, listen, and lead.

Student leaders from Clarin National High School, Felina Sevilla Oaminal National High School, Holy Child High School, and Cong. Hilarion Ramiro Jr. Memorial National High School, together with their advisers, gathered with our Sagakay team and our speaker, LDRRMO Mr. Carmelito Heray, who shared timely insights on local environmental issues and disaster preparedness. It was a full day of learning on climate action, biodiversity, and youth empowerment.

These photos capture more than smiles and activities, they capture the spark. The spark of curiosity turning into understanding, understanding turning into commitment, and commitment preparing to grow into action through the re-echo sessions in their schools.

Project BinhiYahan is not just seen in these photos, it is felt in the energy, the conversations, and the determination of every student leader present. And this is only the beginning of what they will bring back to their communities.

Our UMOL participants had an engaging and insightful discussion with Rep. Sophie Phillips of the Delaware House of Representatives, who shared her incredible journey to winning a seat as one of the youngest lawmakers in her state. She spoke candidly about the challenges of being a young leader in politics—especially how some older lawmakers initially did not take her seriously—but also how perseverance, authenticity, and purpose can break barriers.

Participants were reminded of the importance of knowing your “why”—the driving reason behind one’s decision to run, lead, and make a difference in the community.

Thank you, Rep. Phillips, for showing us that youth leadership is not about age, but about courage, conviction, and vision!
