Day 2 of the Laboratory Schools Young Leadersโ Convention unfolded with the same fire and passion as it began. The morning started with the introductory rites, setting the tone for another meaningful day, followed by an animation dance that once again ignited the energy of the young leadersโ filling the hall with laughter, smiles, and synchronized (?) moves.
The convention then delved deeper into leadership as the participants listened to Ms. Alliah Nicole T. Sayo, who discussed the Sustainable Development Goals and Project Proposal Making and Critique. Equipped with new knowledge, each team collaborated and crafted their own project proposals centered on the SDGs, showcasing critical thinking, creativity, and a shared vision for change. Every idea reflected the leadersโ desire to make an impact not only within their school, but also in the larger community.
As the afternoon approached, excitement filled the air as the much-awaited Amazing Race commenced. The young leaders ran, laughed, got wet, powdered, and pushed through every challenge thrown their way. Despite the exhaustionโ resilience, teamwork, and camaraderie prevailed. Proving that leadership shines brightest even in moments of fatigue.
The ending program was marked with heartfelt messages. LSO Governor Kevin Dagondon once again inspired the young leaders with words that resonated deeply. This was followed by a special message from Mrs. Maribel B. Yasay, who shared that even when tired, leadership is what keeps her spark alive. Former LSO Governor Licia Joyce Mariรฑas then reminded everyone that ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐
,, and that through togetherness, leaders can achieve greater heights.
The program continued with a message of gratitude from the Convention Team Leader, Aljon John Aguimatang, thanking everyone who made the event a success, before proceeding to the awarding ceremonyโ celebrating the efforts and dedication of each team.
As the convention drew to a close, emotions ran high during the final activity. The young leaders tied yarns onto one another as a symbol of love, connection, and unity, and left their painted handprints on the boardโ sealing memories that will forever remain. With hugs, tears, and heartfelt goodbyes,
Day 2 marked not just the end of the convention, but the beginning of stronger bonds and braver leadership journeys. ๐๐๐
