The Life and Works of Machiavelli: Power, Politics, and Principle

Ngayong ika-14 ng Abril 2026, buong husay na ipinamalas ng BA Political Science, pangkat 2A ang isang makapangyarihang pagsasadula hinggil sa buhay at akda ni Niccolรฒ Machiavelli, isang pangalang matagal ng nakaukit sa kasaysayan ng kaisipang pampolitika.

Sa loob ng limang araw ng puspusang paghahanda, maingat na hinabi ng pangkat ang bawat eksena na tila mga pahina ng kasaysayang muling binuklat. Isinadula nila ang pag-angat at pagbagsak ni Machiavelli, mula sa pagiging isang lingkod-bayan ng Florence, hanggang sa kanyang pagkakatapon at pag-iisa.

Higit sa lahat, naging sentro rin ng pagtatanghal ang kanyang tanyag na akdang โ€œ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™‹๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š.โ€ Ang akda ay hindi lang itinanghal bilang malamig na manwal ng kapangyarihan, kundi bilang isang babala at paalala: na ang politika ay hindi laging nakabatay sa kabutihan, kundi sa kakayahang umangkop, mag-isip, at mabuhay sa gitna ng kaguluhan.

Sa kabuuan, ang pagtatanghal ng BAPS 2A ay hindi lamang isang rekonstruksiyon ng kasaysayan, kundi isang pagninilay sa tunay na mukha ng pamumuno at kapangyarihan. Sa kanilang sining, muling nabigyang-anyo si Machiavelli, hindi bilang isang kontrabida ng moralidad, kundi bilang isang pilosopong naglakas-loob na ilahad kung paano umiiral ang ating mundo.
