Following the tree planting activity, the Chapter will conduct a Seminar on Environmental Laws and provide Free Legal Consultation and Notarization of Simple Documents for members of the community.

In celebration of Womenโ€™s Month of LGU Salcedo, a seminar on Womenโ€™s Rights and Legal Protection, covering the overview of Republic Act No. 9710 (Magna Carta of Women), gender equality in the workplace, and addressing discrimination, was conducted on March 31, 2026, at the Municipality of Salcedo, Ilocos Sur.

Atty. Connie Joy Alarca Omaoeng-Manzano served as resource speaker and discussed key legal frameworks and protections that promote womenโ€™s rights, equal opportunities, and safeguards against discrimination.

The seminar aimed to strengthen awareness on gender equality and empower participants through knowledge of womenโ€™s rights under the law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines โ€“ Ilocos Sur Chapter, in partnership with JCI Ilocos Inabel, conducted a talk on Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) and the Anti-Bastos Law, together with a Free Legal Consultation and Notarization of Simple Documents, on March 29, 2026, at LGU San Vicente, Ilocos Sur.

Atty. Richard C. Diongco served as resource speaker and discussed the key provisions of the Anti-Bastos Law, including the legal protections it provides and the remedies and safeguards available to ensure safe and respectful public spaces.

The activity aimed to raise awareness on the rights and protection of women and children, promote safe and respectful spaces, and provide accessible legal assistance to the community.

Atty. Ezra Joy Angagan Canosa-Pacis served as resource speaker and discussed the available legal remedies and protective mechanisms under the law for victims of gender-based violence.

The seminar aimed to strengthen awareness on legal protections and improve access to justice for women and children in the community.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines โ€“ Ilocos Sur Chapter Officers participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Municipal Government of Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur, on March 26, 2026.

The MOA formalizes the partnership between the Chapter and the LGU to provide legal aid services and implement programs that will benefit the constituents of Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur.

The activity was conducted under the Committee on Human Rights, under the leadership of SBM Atty. Mary Luz H. Galleta as Chairman, with SBM Narciso Garcia and SBM Sotero Avila as committee members, who extended their full support and participation in the activity.

In celebration of Womenโ€™s Month of LGU Lidlidda, a lecture on Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) was conducted on March 25, 2026, at the Municipal Covered Court, Lidlidda, Ilocos Sur.

Atty. Larizse Ricanor Agatep-Piedad and Atty. Maria Estrelita Alonzo Esposo of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines โ€“ Ilocos Sur Chapter served as resource speakers, who discussed the rights of women and children under the law, the different forms of gender-based violence, and the legal remedies and support available to victims.

Through this initiative, efforts were strengthened to promote a safer, more informed, and gender-sensitive community.

Domingo, Ilocos Sur, as part of the LGU Sto. Domingo program with the theme โ€œAGBALLAIGI: Empowering Women in Leadership, Livelihood, and Life.โ€

The activity also included a short talk on Womenโ€™s Rights, aiming to raise awareness on legal protections and empower women through knowledge of their rights under the law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines โ€“ Ilocos Sur Chapter, in partnership with Caritas Nueva Segovia, successfully conducted a Free Legal Consultation and Notarization of Simple Documents on March 15, 2026, at St. Joseph the Husband of Mary Parish, Nagbukel, Ilocos Sur.

The activity provided accessible legal assistance to community members through free legal consultation and notarization services, while promoting awareness of basic legal rights and remedies.

The Chapter extends its sincere gratitude to its volunteer lawyers, partners, and organizers for their continued dedication and support in bringing legal services closer to the people.
