The Youth Coalition for Good Governance (YCGG) was grateful to be part of the two-day Academy for Young Leaders (AYL) 2026, held on October 3–4, 2026 at the Capitol Social Hall, Cebu City, with accommodation at Bayfront Hotel Cebu.

The two-day event brought together young leaders from different communities to learn, exchange ideas, build meaningful connections, and explore how young people can contribute to good governance and positive change.

For YCGG, this was an opportunity to learn beyond our organization, connect with fellow young leaders, and bring home new insights that we can apply in our own communities and advocacies.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of a space that encourages young people to learn, lead, participate, and serve.

Thank you to the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and everyone who made AYL 2026 a meaningful experience for young leaders.

𝐘𝐂𝐆𝐆 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 & 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦

Yesterday, September 26, 2026, YCGG members had the opportunity to attend the Book Talk & Forum featuring Dr. Jan Carlo B. Punongbayan, held at Lawak Sinehan, UP Cebu.

The forum provided an opportunity to learn more about the Philippine economy, public policy, governance, and the economic challenges discussed in Twin Plagues: How Duterte and COVID-19 Wrecked the Philippine Economy.

Through the discussion, our members were able to listen to different perspectives, engage with issues concerning the country, and gain a deeper understanding of how public policy and governance can affect society and the economy.

As a youth organization, YCGG values opportunities that encourage young people to stay informed, think critically, and participate meaningfully in discussions about governance and matters affecting our communities.
