Last July 4, Project TIGUGMA and BAGYANIHAN brought together parents and children from fisherfolk families in Babag, Lapu-Lapu City. 🩵🌊

Parents and children learned the value of smart saving, while the young participants received backpacks filled with school supplies. 🎒📚

Made possible through the support of Brgy. Captain Eulogio Cesar “Logie” Manayon, Teodocio Bonganciso the fisher-folk president and our valued partners and stakeholders. Together, we empower families and build brighter futures!

BAGyanihan

Empowering young minds and securing futures in Lapu-Lapu City.

JCI Cebu Coastal Linx, in partnership with Brgy. Babag, Lapu-Lapu City, successfully conducted the BAGyanihan Project on July 4, 2026.

BAGyanihan is an initiative that provides bags and school supplies to young learners.

The project benefited the children of local fisherfolks in Babag, Lapu-Lapu City. A highlight of the day was the "My Future Self" activity, where the children drew their aspirations. Many shared dreams of becoming teachers, police officers, and engineers. These children are true dreamers, and we are here to help pave the path toward their goals. After all, these bags hold more than just school supplies—they carry the hopes and dreams of every child who carries them.

Seeing the pure joy on the faces of the children and their parents truly made every effort worth it. 💙

BAGyanihan.
Be the Link that Powers a Dream.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes an entire community to fuel their dreams. Education is a fundamental right, yet for many children, the necessary resources remain out of reach. This movement is born from a shared vision: ensuring every child has the tools to succeed today and the inspiration to dream for tomorrow.
For just 500 per bag, you can provide a child with the essential school supplies they need to thrive. But these are more than just bags of supplies; each one is a vessel for a shared future.
By joining our Chain of Support, you are doing more than providing tools—you are igniting ambition. When a child is equipped for school, they gain the confidence to stay there. Your contribution provides the foundation they need to keep moving forward.
Will you be part of the chain? 🔗✨
Together, we can change lives. One child at a time, one dream at a time—when we inspire a student, we uplift the entire community.

Tigugma

Train them young.

Financial literacy empowers us to make informed decisions, build security, and achieve peace of mind. To truly care for the youth, we must help them build a sustainable future. By teaching them the power of saving, we instill financial mindfulness and empower them for life.

This is the driving force behind Project TIGUGMA—an initiative deeply rooted in TIGUM (save), GUGMA (love), UGMA(tomorrow).

"Tigum para sa akong ugma, tigum nga napuno sa gugma para sa akong ugma."
(Saving for my tomorrow; saving filled with love for my tomorrow.)

🚨OPLAN KAAGAPAY🚨

There are moments when a community is tested—not by choice, but by circumstance.

Today, many of our fellow Generals wake up to damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and uncertainty about what comes next. Behind every cracked wall is a family seeking safety. Behind every fallen structure is a story of resilience waiting to rise again.

In times like these, we are reminded that hope is not something we wait for—it is something we give.

Through OPLAN KAAGAPAY, JCI General Santos Twin Star calls upon every kind heart to stand with our affected kababayans. Whether through cash donations, in-kind support, or simply sharing this cause, your generosity can help bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.

We are accepting:
💵 Cash Donations
📦 In-Kind Donations
⛺ Tents
🌬️ Portable or Rechargeable Fans
🥫 Ready-to-Eat Food Packs
💧 Bottled Water
🩹 Medicines and First Aid Supplies
🛏️ Blankets and Sleeping Mats
🧴 Hygiene Kits
🔦 Flashlights, Batteries, and Power Banks

Every peso donated, every item shared, and every act of kindness becomes a source of hope for someone in need.

Because when a community falls, we do not ask who will help.

We become the help.

❤️ Together, let us be the reason someone finds strength again.
❤️ Together, let us rebuild lives and restore hope.
❤️ Together, let us prove that LOVE IN MOTION is more than a theme—it is action, compassion, and service in its purest form.

The earthquake may have shaken our city, but it will never shake the spirit of a community that cares. ❤️
