After an intense deliberation, we are proud to unveil the Top 10 Finalists of the HORIZONS Adaptive Reuse Competition! These are the concepts that masterfully balance the soul of the past with the vision of the future through sensitive and creative adaptive reuse.

On April 28, 2026, for the Top 5 Finalists, please expect an official email to your team representative for the oral presentation and guidelines.

𝐀 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🤝

On September 6-7, 2025, the CHERISH team once again returned to the Santo Niño de Anda Parish in Bohol to present the draft of the Conservation Management Plan and just recently, last December 16-17, concluded the project with the presentation of the final CMP for Anda's heritage church followed by a workshop on site.

Feeling excited but overwhelmed, the Local Government Unit of Anda and Parish Pastoral council members wishes to continue their collaboration with CHERISH as they move forward with the task of implementing the Santo Niño de Anda Parish's CMP. Among the attendees were the parish's maintenance personnel, engineers, cultural mappers, accountants, the parish priest, Msgr. Ariel L. Lantaca, and Anda vice-mayor, Ruby Porter.

CHERISH once again extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in this project. With continued zeal, may our conservation efforts in Anda continue to thrive in the future! ⛪

Last October 4–5, ICOMOS Philippines, USC CHERISH, and the USC CE Faculty teamed up to assess the earthquake-damaged heritage churches in Northern Cebu.

Three teams were deployed:
📌Northwest Team – Bantayan, San Remigio, Tabuelan, Tuburan, Asturias
📌Northeast Team – Daanbantayan, Medellin, Bogo, Tabogon, Borbon, Sogod, Carmen, Catmon, Danao
📌ICOMOS/USC CE Team - Bantayan, Daanbantayan, Bogo

The findings will be compiled into a report to help the Archdiocese of Cebu prioritize restoration efforts for these important heritage structures.⛪

Huge thanks to our dedicated volunteers who bravely went to the epicenter despite the aftershocks!

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to USC, through Ms. Abrenica, and to the Archdiocese of Cebu and CACCHC, through Rev. Fr. Brigoli and Ar. Despi, for their unwavering support, as well as to the parishes who warmly welcomed and accommodated our teams.❤
