Amid the worsening socioeconomic crisis driven by imperialist wars of aggression, neoliberal plunder, and foreign domination, the people are called to confront the forces that keep the Philippines chained as a neocolony.

Themed “Imperialist Crisis and War: A People’s Alternative Forum to the ASEAN Summit 2026,” the forum will serve as a space to expose how ASEAN’s history and neoliberal policies have advanced the interests of imperialist powers and big capital at the expense of workers, peasants, youth, and other oppressed sectors.

Meet our speakers on May 8 at the Arts and Sciences (AS) Hall of UP Cebu as they discuss how these policies deepen dependence, exploitation, and repression—and why the people’s collective struggle remains the only genuine alternative toward national sovereignty and liberation.

Bringing together aspiring finance professionals, the PJFIS 2026 On Tour by the CFA Society Philippines was a resounding success after an afternoon of learning, growth, and inspiration. 🙌 Offering real-world perspectives, the session equipped our student participants with valuable lessons to carry forward into their professional careers. 💼

As Assistant Professor of UP Cebu, Mr. Stevenson Q. On April 25, 2026, the PJFIS 2026 On Tour by the CFA Society Philippines was successfully concluded after an afternoon of learning about the world of finance, professional growth, and opportunities. 💪

With Guest Speakers, Ms. Rizchelle Sampang-Manaog, CPAE, the current Executive Director of CFA Society Philippines, and Mr. Stevenson Q. Yu, CPA, MBA, CFA, Assistant Professor of UPC and a CFA Charterholder, participants from the BS Accountancy and BS Management programs were able to gain insightful knowledge 🧠 about key finance and investment concepts and careers one can take on the CFA path. 📊

On April 24, 2026, the School of Management (SOM) Faculty, together with UPC Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) Student Representatives, conducted a meeting with the CFA Society Philippines, discussing further plans for the University Affiliation Program (UAP). 📊

During the meeting, the University Affiliation Program was formally introduced by Ms. Rizchelle Sampang-Manaog, CPAE, the current Executive Director of CFA Society Philippines. 📨 This aims to strengthen the finance-related programs within the School of Management. 💼

This serves as a stepping stone towards the growth of the School of Management, along with the programs of BS Accountancy and BS Management. With organization affiliations such as these, the doors for endless possibilities open, creating a path for our SOM Students toward professional and valuable opportunities. 🏞️
