Dear CNU-M Stories & Confessions Group Members:

As a way of promoting research and development in areas that will benefit the community, we humbly ask for your permission to conduct the following study. This specific Facebook group page is central to the current research study entitled “Linguistic Landscapes of a Local University Digital Freedom Wall: A Qualitative Analysis of Language Use and Ideology.” The purpose of the study is to better understand and comprehend how the students’ language choices are expressed and have evolved in the virtual communication platform.

Data Collection Process
The data for this research will primarily consist of the posts within this mentioned Facebook group. This includes a wide range of time commitment to gather and analyze public posts, observing the language use and ideology involved. Posts reflecting your diverse ways of digital self-expression will be of great importance.

Significance of Consent
As we honor transparency and mutual respect, your consent is crucial for this undertaking. To consent, we, the researchers, encourage you to either like this post or comment with “I consent,” indicating your agreement for your posts to be utilized and/or considered in our research study.

Confidentiality and Integrity
We value your rights to privacy. All the data collected will be anonymized so that any personal information or identifiable details remain stored and protected to any of the reports or findings shared. Rest assured, we take your privacy with high regard. We will comply with all the ethical research practices and take full accountability if there happens to be a breach of confidentiality.

And just like that… it’s over.

After years of late-night studying, early morning classes, unexpected breakdowns, unforgettable friendships, and memories I’ll carry forever — it’s time to say goodbye to this chapter.
Cebu Normal University – Medellin Campus, you were more than just a school. You were a home, a teacher, a witness to my growth. Within your walls, I discovered purpose, created memories that will last a lifetime, and built friendships that feel like family. You saw me at my best and held me through my struggles.Thank you for shaping me — not just academically, but in heart, in courage, and in character. I leave with a grateful heart and a soul full of lessons.
This isn’t just a goodbye to a place — it’s a goodbye to a version of me that learned, stumbled, and rose again here. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for what’s next.

Here’s to new beginnings, but also to never forgetting where we started.
