A new school year means new beginnings and another year of making sure children have the nourishment they need to learn. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿ’™

As classes begin, so does our School Meals Program.

In Bantayan Island, our dedicated volunteers are already rolling up their sleeves, preparing nutritious meals for our learners. Behind every meal is time, teamwork, and a shared commitment to help children start their school day ready to learn.

Because hungry children cannot learn at their best. When children have access to nutritious food, they are better able to participate, focus, and make the most of their time in the classroom.

This school year, we are not only filling plates; we are helping fuel learning, growth, and possibility.

And it starts with one meal at a time.

Hereโ€™s to a school year filled with full plates, active minds, and brighter possibilities. ๐Ÿ’™

In several communities in the Municipality of Sagbayan , a simple food pack can mean more than a meal: it can mean a little breathing room for a family facing difficult days.

Through the support of Feed the Children - Asia , more than 1,000 families across Bohol have received food packs to help ease the burden of putting food on the table.

But the impact goes beyond what each pack contains. It is a message of solidarity: you are not alone, and your community stands with you.

When families have the support they need, they can face challenges with greater strength and hope. Together, we continue to build communities where families are supported, children are nourished, and no one has to face hunger alone.

Because sometimes, a little support is all it takes to remind a family that brighter days are still ahead. Barangay Canmaya Diot Feed the Children

Protecting children goes beyond meeting their physical needs. It means respecting their privacy, preserving their dignity, and keeping their stories safe. ๐Ÿ’™

That is why our Care Group Promoters and volunteers recently participated in a Data Protection Orientation, strengthening their understanding of how to responsibly collect, handle, store, share, and safeguard information.

As they continue their work in our partner communities, they remain committed to responsible data collection and protection:because every child deserves respect, and every story matters. Feed the Children

The lesson seemed simple: wash your hands. The impact can last a lifetime.๐Ÿงผ๐Ÿ’™
For many children in communities across Lamdas, Mabinay, Negros Oriental, learning how to wash their hands properly is more than just a routine. It's a simple skill that can help protect them from illness and keep them healthy as they grow.
Through interactive hygiene sessions, children learned when and how to wash their hands correctly, while parents and community volunteers helped reinforce these healthy habits at home and in the community.
What may seem like a small action can have a big impact. Proper handwashing helps reduce the spread of diarrhea and other illnesses linked to poor hygiene, giving children a better chance to stay healthy, attend school, and enjoy their childhood.
Because a healthier future is built one good habit at a time, and sometimes, it begins with clean hands. Feed the Children

What can one food pack mean to a family? Sometimes, more than we realize.
In Sulangan, Bantayan Island, Cebu Province families recently received food packs from Feed the Children - Asia , bringing some extra help home during a time when everyday expenses continue to add up.

Itโ€™s a simple gesture, but one that can make a difference: whether it means having a few more meals covered, stretching the household budget a little further, or simply knowing that someone thought of their family.

Weโ€™re thankful to the local community and partners who helped make this distribution possible.

One pack. One family. One small reminder that kindness can reach places that need it most. Feed the Children #

A little support can go a long way when times are tough. ๐Ÿ’™

In Mabinay, Provincial Government of Negros Oriental families in several communities recently received food packs from Feed the Children - Asia bringing much-needed assistance to households navigating the rising cost of everyday essentials.

Beyond the food inside each pack is a reminder that families do not have to face difficult times on their own. Through our continued partnership with local communities, we are helping put food on the table, ease some of the pressures families face, and remind them that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Because fighting hunger is more than providing a meal: it is about standing with communities, strengthening resilience, and helping families move forward with hope.

Together, we can make sure that no family faces hunger alone. ๐Ÿ’™

No family should have to face hunger alone.
Several communities in Tubigon Local Government recently received food packs from Feed the Children as part of our commitment to support families facing the growing challenge of rising food prices.

Each food pack represents more than just essential supplies; it is a message of hope, compassion, and solidarity. In difficult times, we believe that no family should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. By working together with our partners and local communities, we continue to help ease the burden and ensure that vulnerable families receive the support they need.

Together, we are not only providing food, we are helping build stronger, more resilient communities where every family has the opportunity to thrive. ๐Ÿ’™

The true impact of a program is measured by the lives it changes.

Feed the Children - Asia , in partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , conducted a monitoring and evaluation visit to our partner schools under the . The visit provided an opportunity to engage with school heads, feeding coordinators, barangay officials, parent volunteers, and learners, who shared their experiences and insights on the program's implementation.

Their stories reflected more than just successful program delivery: they highlighted healthier children, improved school attendance, stronger community participation, and a shared commitment to ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

What happens when a community comes together for its children?
In Tubigon Local Government , parents, teachers, community leaders, and volunteers gathered with one shared goal: to make the upcoming School Meals Program of Feed the Children - Asia meaningful and successful for every learner.
Together with the School Principal, Feeding Coordinator, PTA officials, and Barangay officials, they planned and coordinated efforts to ensure children receive the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Because when a community works together, a simple meal can become a source of hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for every child.

What happens when a community turns savings into opportunity?
In Bogabongan, Leon B. Postigo, members of the AGAK gathered for their annual assembly, celebrating not just what they had saved, but what they had built together.
What started as a single savings group formed by Feed the Children - Asia has grown into a thriving network of more than 100 members. Through commitment, discipline, and a shared vision for the future, families have strengthened their financial resilience and created new opportunities for themselves.
But their impact doesn't stop there.
Each year, members choose to give back by setting aside a portion of their savings to provide school supplies for children in their community. It's a simple act with a lasting effect, helping young learners step into the classroom prepared and confident.
This is what sustainability looks like: neighbors supporting neighbors, communities investing in their own future, and local solutions creating lasting change.
Because when people come together with a common purpose, they don't just save money. They build brighter futures for the next generation.
