For our final gathering of this academic year, we took a hard look at how English can be used to break down barriers and combat language discrimination inside our classrooms.

It’s all about changing the narrative—making sure language is treated as a tool for connection and inclusivity, rather than a weapon for elitism.

We faced our fair share of hurdles, but we are ending this journey on a high note, having started conversations that genuinely matter for our community.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧: 𝐄𝐋𝐒𝟏𝟐𝟗

A critical, high-stakes mission has just dropped on the guild board, and we need the entire guild to party up for this one.

Our 3rd-years have spent the entire semester grinding through the high-level dungeon known as 𝐄𝐋𝐒𝟏𝟐𝟗: 𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬.

They’ve fought the monsters of complex syntax, survived the trials of theory, and now they are face-to-face with the final boss, a capstone seminar.

The Josenian English Guild extends its warmest congratulations to 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, for successfully passing the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers with an outstanding board rating!

Stepping into the boards as a non-education graduate is no small feat, especially when tasked with mastering complex pedagogical frameworks and teaching methodologies in just a few months.

Yet, Daniella proved that a strong foundation in English Language Studies is a formidable asset. She shares that her deep exposure to linguistics and textual analysis became her ultimate advantage, allowing her to navigate not only the specialized English major category but also the tricky Professional Education questions with absolute clarity.

Reflecting on her journey, Daniella reminds future takers that success isn't about memorizing every term, but about maximizing your capabilities.

Her ultimate advice for the next batch of BA-ELS board takers? Master the art of metacognition.
