May St. Ezekiel Moreno intercede for all those who are suffering, especially those battling cancer, and bring them strength, hope, and healing.

Hello, USJR Basak JHS Community!

We officially kicked off the school year with our 1st PTA Board Meeting last Friday August 14, 2026, headed by our PTA President and our dear Principal. It was a productive meeting filled with collaboration, fresh ideas, and shared goals for our students.

We also discussed an overview of the activities and programs planned for SY 2026–2027, as well as ways we can work together to make this school year meaningful and successful.

📢 ICYMI| J𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗣𝗧𝗔 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀!

On August 2, 2026, our JHS community gathered for our PTA General Assembly, bringing together parents, teachers, and school administrators for a morning of faith, fellowship, and important updates.

✨️𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 & 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
Parents started the morning in their children’s respective classrooms, meeting with Class Advisers to receive academic updates and discuss expectations for the school year. During these sessions, each classroom elected their new Homeroom PTA Officers for
SY 2026–2027!

✨️𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀
Following the homeroom meetings, all newly elected Homeroom PTA Presidents convened at the Science Laboratory Room for the official election of the new PTA Board of Directors.

✨️𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 & 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀
Meanwhile, at the Coliseum, our community gathered in prayer to offer the school year to the Lord. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Persiuz Joseph Decena, OAR, our VP for Academics and Research. Before the Mass concluded, Fr. Decena officially officiated the Induction of Officers, blessing our newly elected leaders as they embark on their service this academic year.

✨️𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿
Over at the Coliseum, the main assembly proceeded with key institutional updates. A comprehensive overview report of our PTA’s achievements, projects and all activities by the PTA President Mrs. Arcalas. A transparent and detailed presentation of Financial Report by our PTA Treasurer, Mrs. Pantujan, lastly the important key updates on our academic policies, school events, and the official introduction of our new TRI-TERM PROGRAM for this academic year.

Thank you to all the parents, guardians, advisers, and school administrators who dedicated their Sunday morning to make this event a success. Congratulations and blessings to all our newly inducted officers!

JHS NEWS | JHS Department to Conduct First PTA General Assembly

The Junior High School Department of the University of San Jose–Recoletos will conduct this school year's first Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) General Assembly on August 2, 2026.

PROGRAM

7:00 AM – Registration (Child's Assigned Classroom)
8:00–9:15 AM – Homeroom Meeting & PTA Election
8:45–9:15 AM – Board of Directors Election
9:15 AM – Health Break
9:30 AM – Eucharistic Celebration & Induction of Officers
10:30 AM – General Assembly

With the current heavy rainfall and flooding in several areas, we ask everyone to prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary delays in traveling home.
