๐ŸŒฑ University of the Visayas โ€“ Gullas Law School Joins the Consortium of Green Legal Clinics in the Philippines โš–๏ธ

The Philippine Earth Justice Center (PEJC) proudly welcomed the University of the Visayas โ€“ Gullas Law School, through the Gullas Institute of Legal Aid Services (GILAS), as the newest member of the Consortium of Green Legal Clinics in the Philippines following the successful signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) today at the UV Gullas Law School Moot Court.

This partnership strengthens the growing network of Green Legal Clinics across the country that aim to empower communities, advance environmental justice, and provide law students with meaningful exposure to public interest environmental law and legal advocacy.

Through this collaboration, law students will gain valuable opportunities to engage with real environmental and community issuesโ€”bridging the gap between legal education and practical action. By working alongside organizations such as PEJC, future lawyers are encouraged to use the law not only as a profession, but as a tool to protect communities and the environment.

The Philippine Earth Justice Center extends its sincere appreciation to Dean Atty. Joseph Randi C. Torregosa, Associate Dean Atty. Darling Chyrmyth Wagas-Estorgio, Atty. Wennonah Marie R. Garces, the faculty, and the students of UV Gullas Law School for their commitment to strengthening environmental justice and legal empowerment in Cebu and beyond.
