A brief history of why WBLC (Women's Basketball League Cebu) a NON-PROFIT organization was created. We, the committee, a group of friends, who love to play the game came up with the idea to organize a league. We want to promote the sport and the camaraderie amongst fellow Cebuanas. We started posting in Facebook and gladly, we received a lot of inquiries on how to register and join for the league.
And on February 10, 2013, WBLC came to be. Registration fees, as you may all know, are being used for the basic needs to sustain a league (gym rents, referees, prizes). We do not earn a single cent from the league. We are open to any business or individual who would like to sponsor the league, as this can help us improve the overall league experience for everyone. And yes, we can account and liquidate the sponsored amount for transparency. We are trying to do our best to cater and make sure that the league is smooth-flowing. But, we also have limitations as we have other commitments such as work and school. Let us all be proactive and keep the fire burning for our love of the sport.
