WEAR YOUR MASKS, USPIANS!

A lingering haze has affected Metro Cebu since April 17, 2026, according to the Environmental Management Bureau–Central Visayas. Air Quality Index (AQI) levels peaked at 199 on April 19 and remain elevated at 177 as of April 20—both falling under the very unhealthy category.

At this stage, air pollution can impact everyone’s health, not just those with existing conditions. It is advised to reduce time spent outdoors and wear proper protection when necessary. Choose a well-fitted N95 or KN95 mask, as cloth and surgical masks do not offer adequate protection in this situation.

Stay protected and take care, USPians!
