A long-anticipated undertaking has now been formally consummated. The Sangguniang Kabataan of Mercedes takes profound honor in the officialization of its sponsorship arrangement with One Fine Pictures for the SK Mercedes Portrait Photo Frames and Photoshoot—an agreement initially negotiated in 2025 and now duly affirmed through a face-to-face discussion between our SK Chairperson, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗠. 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗮, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻.

This partnership is not merely contractual in nature but is anchored upon a shared ethos of service, leadership, and youth empowerment. Notably, Hon. Pesquera’s prior acquaintance with One Fine Pictures, established during his tenure as a student leader, lends both credibility and continuity to this collaboration.

Pursuant to 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟎𝟕𝟒𝟐, in conjunction with 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟕𝟏𝟔𝟎, the Sangguniang Kabataan is expressly mandated to allocate and utilize its funds for comprehensive youth development. Jurisprudential and statutory interpretation of these laws clarifies that SK appropriations are not confined to athletic or recreational endeavors alone, but rather extend to a broad spectrum of youth-centered initiatives, including but not limited to education, leadership formation, mental and public health, environmental stewardship, social equity, and civic participation.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Mercedes Council hosted a spectacular Year-End Celebration 2025, bringing together the vibrant youths of Mercedes in a day-long extravaganza that seamlessly transitioned into a night of merriment and camaraderie.

Held on December 28, 2025 at Mactang Beach, the event was a resounding success, with activities that catered to diverse interests and age groups. From thrilling beach games and sports, to creative showcases and talent competitions, the day was filled with laughter, excitement, and a dash of friendly competition. As the sun dipped into the horizon, the festivities only intensified, with a night-long concert, dancing, and feasting under the star-studded sky.

The celebration was a testament to the power of unity and the unbreakable spirit of Kabataang Mercedes. "It was a day that will be etched in our memories forever," said an elated participant. "The energy, the laughter, and the sense of belonging were truly unforgettable."

The SK of Mercedes Council extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, contributed, and made this event a success. "Your presence was the key ingredient that made this celebration truly special," said SK Chairperson, Hon. Vincent Paul M. Pesquera.

The event was a milestone in the council's efforts to foster a sense of community and belonging among the youths of Mercedes. "We are committed to continuing this tradition and creating more unforgettable experiences for our Kabataang Mercedes," said the council.
