After returning back to the Philippines, GIED sits down with an FSJ long term volunteer at Pinoy Flege after eighteen months abroad in Germany to complete his voluntary service. This was done as a Post Evaluation activity, in order to check up on his progress and plans. 📝🎉

The session focused on discussing his activity as a volunteer, his personal experiences in intercultural understanding, how he dealt with several challenges in Germany and how it was overcame, and the impact of his time as a volunteer to several aspects of his personal life. 🌏💙

As we welcome a volunteer home, we also wish our current volunteers safe travels and a wonderful time abroad! 🇵🇭✨

Through challenges with coping with the cultural differences, and with the environment, Jenrelle's time in Germany shows growth, hard work, and a passion for volunteering. Resilience and openness to change goes hand in hand, and volunteering is the best avenue to develop both values. 🤝✨
Volunteering abroad is an opportunity that allows you to see the world from a bigger perspective, to help others in need and to realize the potential you have in yourself to become bigger than what you are now.
