𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐇𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒 (𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐏𝐈𝐏𝐄/𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐀-𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐀)
In line with our commitment to maintaining peace and order in the Municipality of Daanbantayan, the Daanbantayan Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PMAJ MARK ANTHONY A. VILLANUEVA, Chief of Police, is conducting intensified operations against the use of illegal motorcycle mufflers (commonly known as open pipe or modified mufflers).
These devices cause unnecessary noise pollution, disrupt the peace in communities, and are prohibited under Republic Act No. 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic Code), as well as LTO Administrative Order No. AHS-2008-015, which prohibits the use of modified mufflers that emit excessive noise beyond prescribed levels.
As a result of these operations, several illegal mufflers have already been confiscated from violators in various barangays. This is part of our community-wide effort to promote responsible driving and respect for others.
We call on all Kandayan-ons, especially motorcycle owners and riders, to cooperate and refrain from using such illegal modifications. Let us all be part of the solution in promoting a peaceful, safe, and livable community.
