A Magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Northern Cebu at 1:06 AM, October 13, 2025, with an epicenter located 14 km South 13° West of Bogo City, Cebu (10.92°N, 123.95°E) and a depth of 10 km.

🎶 CEBU UNITES FOR THE NORTH! ❤️

In collaboration with Halad Musika, all available Red Cross Youth (RCY) members are encouraged to join and be part of the participating audience in this meaningful event — where music meets mercy for our brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake in Northern Cebu.

📅 When: Sunday, October 12, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
📍 Where: Fuente Osmeña Circle

Featuring heartfelt performances from talented local artists, including Marielle Montellano and JM Dela Cerna, Halad Musika Alang sa Norte is more than just a concert — it’s a movement of hope and solidarity.

How You Can Help:
🛒 Donate in kind: Rice, Canned goods (Sardines, Beef Loaf and/or Cornbeef), Lucky Me noodles, and/or 3in1 coffee
💸 Donate cash: Every peso counts toward immediate relief efforts. For Cash donations, please proceed directly at the office on Monday or weekday and look for Mr Lito Odiongan for formal acknowledgement receipts.

The Philippine Red Cross – Cebu Chapter will be on-site to receive all donations.

World Mental Health Day

Today, we join the world in raising awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. As Red Cross Youth, we are reminded that being empowered also means knowing when to slow down, reflect, and care for our own well being.

In the same way we extend compassion to others, let us also extend it to ourselves. Taking a pause, seeking help, and choosing rest are not signs of weakness. They are acts of strength and courage.

Let us continue to build a community where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued. Because those who save lives also need to nurture their own. ❤️

An estimated Magnitude 5.13 earthquake was felt tonight, September 30, 2025 – 10:00 PM, across Cebu, Lapu-Lapu City, Ormoc, Tacloban, Sorsogon, and Albay. Shaking lasted 10–15 seconds with sideways movement.
