This May, we are shining the spotlight on our Aksyon Klima volunteers who proudly hit the ground running to support the coastal preservation effort at Cordova Roro Port, last April 19, 2026. ๐
For our volunteers, this coastal preservation effort was a powerful, eye-opening experience that went beyond just picking up litter. Daryl Kaagbay explained that the intense heat was a challenge, but the real wake-up call was realizing that much of the waste comes from irresponsible visitors. This was echoed by Chealsy Erandio, who shared that while the team had fun, it was a "first" to see such a volume of aging plastic and garbage even conducting a trash inventory to identify the companies behind the waste. While one day isn't enough to solve everything, every piece collected is a step toward healing our environment.
We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Carolinian Environmental Society for leading this impactful initiative and for joining us in this effort. As Zyra Nerpiol from the said partner, reflected, despite the sheer scale of the task, working alongside a team that shares a deep passion for the environment made this "one small step in the bigger picture" truly unforgettable. It is a mindset of care that we must continue to instill in ourselves and the world.
Through these ripples of action, we help restore the natural beauty of our environment!
