The Asian Chess Federation (ACF) is pleased to announce the ACF Swiss Manager Seminar, to be held online on October 24–25, 2026.

This two-day seminar is designed for arbiters, pairing officers, tournament organizers, and chess professionals who want to improve their knowledge and practical skills in Swiss Manager, one of the most widely used tournament management programs in chess.

Our chess community mourns the loss of a remarkable man whose life was devoted to the game we all love. Sir Casto Toti Abundo β€”mentor, leader, and a true pillar of Philippine and Asian Chess β€” had passed on.

His legacy is woven into every tournament he guided, every player he inspired, and every arbiter he helped move forward. He worked tirelessly not only for the Philippines, but for the entire global chess community, always with humility and a heart full of service.

To many of us in Cebu and beyond, he was more than an official β€” he was a friend, a quiet force, and a steady presence who uplifted everyone around him. The Cebu Chess Society joins the rest of the chess world in grieving this tremendous loss.

Thank you, Sir Toti, for your passion, your leadership, and your lifelong dedication to chess. Your impact will continue to live on in every player who picks up a piece, in every official you trained, and in every community you helped strengthen.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
